Hey guys,

I was just wondering, do you lot follow a plan as to which eating plan you're going to do? Ie red, green, red etc.

I'm finding it hard to decide but feeling a bit out of control deciding on the day. I've settled on a red day today as I'm due * week and don't want to be even more bloated than normal...

Also a seperate issue but would greatly appreciate any feedback, do you find taking water tablets near to * week helps with water retention? Only I get so bloated it helps but don't want to feel as if I'm 'cheating' by taking the tablets, if that makes sense :eek:

Nope, I don't follow any set pattern. I can do a week of green, a week of red, alternate days, a week of EE - basically whatever I fancy that day, I do. It also depends on what is in the cupboard!

I've never taken water tablets so can't help on that score. I'm not sure it would be classed as cheating though as any weight gained by water retention is a false gain and you usually find people lose extra weight the next week.
 
i know wot u mean im terrible when its my * week!!

get so bloated etc!!

i do tend to have less green days and have more red!!

or if i do have green days have them lighter!!

i know what u mean about the tablets etc(u mean water tabs?)as cheating

but if u are retainging alot of water then maybe once a month when your on your *week will help and i wouldnt see thats cheating!!
 
I start each day as ee but stick to superfree food in morning so that if I want to change its not a aprob.Know what you mean by whats in the cupboard!!lol

Just don't want to take the water tablets and give myself a false reading, but at the same time I can gain upto 5lbs on a star week simply because of the held water, my hands and feet and stomach swell up like sponges :-( so I think I'm gonna have a go at taking them just the day or so beforehand and during to try and help a little.

I think I'm gonna do a red, green etc. Mostly I have the stuff for green days in but again I must hold a lot of water & green days seem to promote this in me & it shows on the scales!

When I've had a naughty week, I tend to ensure I do an extra red day or two as they boost my weight loss. Tuesday is always a green day. This is because I don't have time to cook dinner, so I stick a JP in the oven and leave it for a couple of hours. Easy peasy! I'd quite like to do green more often because I love carbs but it isn't great for my weight loss. :eek: I mix and match my other days - red or EE.

Personally, I wouldn't take water tablets. As hard as it is, you know the gain isn't a real one. Try to accept it it will be higher and don't let it dishearten you. Plus, you'll get a nice weight drop the week after! ;)
 
Thanks for your feedback - i take the tablets due to discomfort more than to do with the gain :-( get absolutely awful swelled up hands and feet since i had my son! but will try to avoid them and plod on :) im glad carbs affect someone else too my weight loss is much slower on green xx

Have you mentioned this to your doctor and is s/he the one who prescribes the water pills? They can be dangerous if you're not super careful. :eek:
 
Yes they were recommended & prescribed my my GP to help with the discomfort...but nope no blood pressure or breathing issues..
Ill maybe re-visit doc see if they can recommend anything else but for now drink lots of water. Thankyou girls.

Also sorry know a bit off subject but..

I started sw 100% again tuesday and since tuesday all I've done is wee, I'm talking 5 times in night last night and about 5 times today through day :-s does this sound normal to you guys? xxx
 
Just seemed an awful lot I don't think I've ever been this many times before. Lol. No discomfort just really odd how much I need the loo! Ill take it as a good sign that Im eating the right things :) xx
 
I've gone from a week of eating indulgent food to being back on track big time for the last couple of days. All I've done is wee too - nothing to worry about. The body will get used to it and you'll go less.
 
Heya, I do Extra Easy normally :) it's how I lost most of my weight but I do tend to dabble in Green :)

I took water retention tablets due to being bloated before, it's not cheating because it isn't a slimming pill - it won't help you lose weight but it will stop you holding onto excess water :)
