Sports Bras

Okay... I really want to do some aerobic exercise - start running or something - I'd love to learn to horseride.

Unfortunately if I did try any of this I would end up with two really black eyes.

So far sports bras that I've tried haven't really been much help.

Can any one recommend a good one?

I'm a double F cup (strangely enough whether I'm a size 12 or a 22, that doesn't change) and I find the Berlei Shock Absorber Level 4 works for me - they have 4 levels and the higher levels are stronger - they really do keep everything in place. Brastop redirect can be worth trying - they do lots of brand name bras at a discount. Their stock varies all the time, so they don't always have what you want at the time. Hope you find something you like and good luck with the exercise.

aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!! haaaaaaa!!!! I went on a big mission for one!!!

I have this beast: Enell Sports Bra - Welcome

It is quite possibly the most hideous looking bra in the world and as it's so highly cut (to keep the beasties down....) you can kinda see it though the neck lines of some t-shirts.

Shock absorbers just never worked for me....:sigh: boooooooo, they come in such pretty colours as well!!

It does kinda depend on what size you are, because there are different sports bras that are great for some sizes and not for others, but the Enell that Coley mentioned is absolutely amazing for holding everything in place.

I use the Champion Action Shape and the Shock Absorber range - the Champion one is great for really high impact stuff (I could run wearing it without any difficulties, although I mostly wear it for Body Combat), but again, it depends on your cup size, and the Shock Absorbers are pretty good for everything else I do, aerobics, Body Jam etc.

Yup, it hooks up the front, lots of little hooks. You sort of have to stuff yourself into it but once it's on it's like armour!

hahaha armour!!:D:D:D

A big thing for me was the straps. They are so nice and thick and it means it doesn't hurt your shoulders so much.

£40 ish for 1 bra is steep.....but worth every penny.

The site that I use is LessBounce :: Sports bras bra for every sport in every size and they are very good. I chose a bra which was out of stock and they e-mailed and offered me anotehr choice and it is fab, exactly what I wanted. I also ordered a second which was too big and they took it back without any hassle at all...can't recommend them enough.

Hi Sparkle :)

I do a lot of aerobics, step aerobics, circuits, running, etc. and at a DD cup I tend to double bra it! I wear an ordinary fully supportive bra and then on top of that add a shock absorber level 4 bra. Still a bit of bounce, but considerably reduced and much more comfortable for running :) Good luck in your quest for the perfect bra, and in your mission to start exercise :)

Great topic :D .

I too made a mental note tonight that needed a decent sports bra, after doing a little jog, so off to browse those sites and see whats what.

Thanks xx

I am a 36E and it is hard to find a Bra that fit but one that will hold me when run is even hard.

I mine it is embrassing running for the bus being big away but to have big boobs that you have to hold when run is worst, cause if you don't people will look at you like  WOOW:eek: .
Plus i am 17 so i get boy my age and dirty old men looking.

LOL!! I know, cause when i got measure and i near fell flat on my face when the woman said they were E cups!!

I just bought a shock absorber bra level 4 am a 40d. I feel it supports but makes my boobs look bigger now. . . I run outside so you can imagine paranoia setting in as the vans go past lol :ashamed0005:

will put a bra top on top. Am disappointed because I thought Id solved my problem.:cry:

Ooh yes I had one of those Enell things - they are proper support for sure! It's too big for me now :( But used to hoist me in a treat and I tell you they didn't move a millimetre in it :D Although they did make my bust look several cups smaller :giggle:

Fantastic support and I got my from LessBounce :: Sports bras bra for every sport in every size :)
