My actifry has just arrived!!!

Now I have to change my tea menu so I can use it !!:8855: Yes I'm THAT sad:p

I've heard a lot about them!! I'll be very interested to find out what you think!! My hubby would love me (even more! LOL!!!) for it if I got one as he's ALWAYS moaned that I absolutely refuse to get a deep fat fryer!!XXX

I'm soooo jealous, hubbs won't let me get one, says they're a waste of money, don't think its fair when i'm on a jacket spud and salad, he's munching on mcain homefries, RUDENESS! :D
Lets us no if its as good as everyone says

I really want one too and will be trying to work it into the household budget lol. having said that... I would MURDER my husband if he bought me a kitchen appliance for my birthday.

I didn't get to try it out tonight:( My daughter (3) came home from nursery with a bad shoulder, by 4pm she was in agony, so had to take her to hospital, and she broke her collar bone:cry: She was playing hide and seek and hid under a toddler trampoline, when a little boy got on and started jumping, obviously didn't know she was there. So I've had to grab something quick for tonight.

Oh, sorry to hear about your little girl!!! Hope she feels better soon.

I have an actifry and I love it to bits!!! I fire cut tatties in, little spray or two of fry light and it makes the most tasty chips/wedges in about 30 minutes. Threw out the old deep fat fryer with OH permission as he loves the new chips.
Have yet to try much other than that but so far I'm really glad I bought one.
(got it in Makro for about £100)

I am always slightly puzzled by people who say their husbands won't let them do something. How exactly are they going to stop you?

I disposed of my husband years ago, but even when he was around he knew better than to tell me I couldn't do something!! :8855:

OH did chips in it tonight and didn't put any oil/frylight in, just some salt and pepper and they were just lush!!!
I am going to try some veggies tomorrow and see what they taste like.
It does come with a recipie book but not tried anything out of it (converted for SW obviously!) yet. Will do that once I finish work (I work long shifts for a couple of weeks then get leave).
Expensive, but I think it is worth it just for the nicest chips/wedges ever!!! And soooo healthy!

I've just finished my seasoned wedges, and they were AWESOME!! Really tasty, soooo much easier than par boiling then cooking in the oven! I have a feeling I'll be using it a LOT!! :)
