Exercise!

How are you finding exercising? Fun? Soul destroying? :p
What do you do? Or are you not exercising at all, and still seeing losses? Do tell!

I walk 4 miles to and back from work 4 days a week, and on my days off I do at least an hour on the Wii Fit. Sometimes I get lazy, and catch the bus into work, or sit around and do nothing on my days off, but I try my best! ;)

I just tried using EA Sports Active again after about 6 months, when I used it and injured myself doing so , but I did about 15 minutes and gave up, it's too difficult! :(

hi, i do my wii most days and do my vibration plate every day without fail. i get a real buzz from exercising. i also work out on my pole. not managed to climb it yet! but after i have danced away on it for half hour i ache lots and can only use it every few days as it really is a killer!
i also do the school runs. not much as only just over a mile but it all counts :D

I can't do a lot due to some nerve damage in my back but try and use my mini cycle thing a few times a week and can do some stuff on the wii fit, I tend to do one exercie then have a little rest then do another ect.
I'm managing at least 30 minutes a day now but broken up throughout the day.

I go to the gym twice a week which is about a 1 1/2 hours each time! I try and walk everywhere locally with my daughter and if we have the time we do a circuit near us which is 4.97 miles. I have wii fit and sports active but never seem to be motivated to do it when its warm outside!!

I try to exercise for at least 40 minutes everyday. I definitely see better results by doing so that motivates me to do more exercise.

I walk 4 miles to and from work 5 days a week.
Sometimes use my x trainer, but havent recently due to not using it when people are over as i dont want them to see me sweating! lol
I have wii sports which i do the training bit on (i ache the next day so it must do something!)
I also have sports active but havent used it in a while due to the same reason for the x trainer.
However am getting the just dance game as its great fun!

One in a blue moon i'll go for a bike ride?!

lol think thats about it!

I'm loving it, I go to the gym on a Tuesday and Thursday and try and do the wii fit every other day - really enjoying the combination of both :)

I'm really envious of the people who enjoy exercising! I love the feeling I get after i've done it, but during it I complain and complain and complain :D I know it has to be done though. Walking is by far the best thing i've done, listening to my iPod and seeing if I can beat my current record of half an hour to get to work is ...well, it's not fun, but its bearable!

Oooh, whats the training bit on Wii Sports? I have Wii Sports but i've never played it much, apart from playing tennis on it when i've had people round. I'm thinking of getting Wii Fit Plus soon, think it'll be good for me to switch things around a bit!

I hate excercise and really need to get my butt into gear and do some, ive been walking more but definalty still not enough, ive not been on the wii for ages so really need to get back into it even doing it 3 times a week would be better than nothing

I just tried EA Sports Active again - but instead of doing the easy 30 minute work out (which always leaves me and my poor, poor legs in agony. Damn those squats!) I created my own custom one, featuring lots of running, walking, dancing and boxing, all things I can do a lot of on the Wii Fit (well apart from the dancing) but I could only do 20 minutes of it - I was drenched in sweat, my heart was beating so hard and I felt like I had a proper work out. Now that's got me wondering what the hell Wii Fit is doing then if I dont feel like this after jogging for 30 minutes at a time with it!

Definitely! I think even if it was less than that it'd be worth it - 10 or 20 minutes a day is fine. I know what you mean though, I hate exercise too. I have to force myself!

It does, it comes with loads! You can choose how long you want to work out for, what you want to concentrate on (upper body, lower body, cardio, etc) and it gives you different things to do one after each other so you dont have to manually select the exercises like you do on wii fit. You can do a 30 day challenge, where it gets harder gradually over 30 days, or do the exercises one by one, or create your own custom workout like I did :D
The best thing about it is that it tells you how many calories you're burning based on your weight and height! And you don't need the wii balance board to do it, which I love because for some reason I just love jogging on my lovely new rug :D

Bad thing is that its REALLY difficult if you're used to doing Wii Fit, like I am! As far as I know it doesnt weigh you either, and you have to wear this stupid band over your thigh to keep the nunchuck in, which has rubbed my leg raw today :\

I think its good to have alongside Wii Fit! And its like £20 in most places now, a bargain!

ive looked at ea sports before but it terrifys me lol i may need to bite the bullet and go for it,,,,,,,,, mind u i dont 10 mins on wiifit today turns out its been over 200 days since i last used it how bad is that, and i was absolutely knackered lol i need to get motivated and get back on it daily

Well its not so much training but you can do things like theres 3 different exercises for each of the games. its next to the fitness bit where it tells you your fitness age!

Sports active i love! but need to get back onto it. again, due to brothers mates being in the house 24/7 i find it hard!

Sports active is a faaaaar better workout than either of the wii fit games. here is so much on it and the complete workouts are excellent. I try to do a 40 min hard one when i go on - i can't remember who said it, but i agree with the squats being a killer!!!
