Slow weight loss

Hello friends!!

I have just been pondering that once again I will have only a 1-2lb loss this week on weigh-in 4 (tomorrow). It is beggining to get me down a bit. I know I can't have the 10lb weight loss I got in week1 every week but everyone else seems to have 3-6lbs a week.

Not sure of my exact weight but last week at weigh in I was 11st 10lbs. I really wanted to lose another 8-10lbs before my holiday but at this rate I'll only lose 3-5lbs.

Don't get me wrong thats still great to be losing weight and at least I know I am almost 100% garunteed to lose weight on SS or SS+ but I feel like my expectations are skewed.

I am not planning on quitting the diet. I am even planning on taking some bars and tetras on holiday to help me maintain or maybe even lose, but I was told to expect a 2stone loss in 6 weeks. I've lost 15lb so far. It feels like there is no way i can do another 13lb in 3 more weigh ins (two weeks left before holiday). Not to mention that I am eating out on Monday for sisters 30th and although I'll try go for the lowest carb, lowest cal meal I can, I am still fussing it will screw things up.

Maybe I am being obsessive or jealous at your great weight losses each week. :sigh:

I know how you feel. I see people having large losses each week and then there is me 1-2lb losses each week i get disheartened but then I have to look back and see how far I've come.

I'm a slow loser and I know there are a few people like that on here but I do also get jelouse of people's big losses.

Good luck all you can do is give it your best shot x x

I've been mixing between ss and ss+ this week so maybe next week I'll ss 100%. I know Mondays meal out will do some damage but I want to make the best choices I can rather than the greedy choice.

My friend did LL and said after the first month or so she did start to feel quite emotional and down bit stuck it for 12 weeks. I always planned to ss for 6 weeks, have my two weeks hol and decide whether I wanted to ss or step up. I do think my moods are up and down.

It's nice to know I'm not the onlyone with slower weight loss. I'm glad I've not broken it in the past 4 weeks but sometimes I wonder if it's worth it for a lb. Then I remember I feel better than I did a month ago so yes it is worth it.

I too only lose slowly but I also know from experience that on the amount of points I should have on ww I manage to sts most weeks
and although I am disappointed about my weight loss in total - I am so pleased to have come as far as I have
take each week as it comes and just remember that on any other diet we might not be losing much at all (if at all)

we will get to target - its just going to take us longer than it does some other people :):)

good luck girls

Hen I work out my mini goals I work it out based on between 1-3lb.
It does and is coming off but slowly.

I didn't think you could mix SS and SS+ in the same week, maybe this is why your weight loss appears to be slow?

I haven't done CD since 2008 though so it may have changed since then!!

Just something to think about for you. You are doing brilliantly though, keep at it and you will be rewarded. I too was a slow loser, but I managed 4 and a half stone down in 7 months. Prior to starting CD I did Rosemary Conley for 3 months and lost 6lb - go figure which works out best :)
