Day 10 of restart. Was doing soooo well and have blown it now. Chips for lunch and have just scoffed a tub of raspberries and half a bar of Green and Black's chocolate. Will never succeed at this rate. Idiot, idiot, idiot:break_diet::break_diet:

Right now you have beaten yourself up, get back on the wagon and drink loads of water.

You're right. I know I need to get straight back on rather than turn this into an extended binge. I have no more food left in the house so that should help. The weekend is always a tricky time to start though I think - none of the distractions of work, and more temptations generally. I wish I had your determination, you're doing so well and at the same time as having so much to face.

join the club  I was tootling along too, up until yesterday afternoon.... I have to break this cycle of not getting thru the weekend somehow....

Well done on not turning it into a complete blow out, least you have nothing left to tempt you now :)

Good luck for today

We can all do this is we really want to....I know how hard it is the slightest little thing and you turn to food, I have been a little dodgy this week but nothing major.....! I am looking forward to starting CD

Sounds like all-or-nothing thinking to me. So you've eaten...have you really blown it? No. You've just eaten. Yes, it feels like the end of the world but no, it doesn't mean that you have no choice about whether to eat or not this minute, the next minute, tomorrow, or next week.

Perhaps you could do the "Consequences of changing / not changing this behaviour" exercise. Write it out, it's so much more powerful when you do.

If weekends are your downfall (they were my difficult time too), plan your weekends. Write your plans in a diary or on a calendar and look at them. Keep yourself out, about and busy and remember to do things that you enjoy.

How about writing some goals for the rest of your day today? What are your goals for your weight, your health and for having fun? But most importantly, what is your goal for changing your thinking and being kind to yourself?

Hey - one binge day out of ten sounds like a recipe for longterm weight loss and maintenance!

How much would you have eaten over a ten day period in the past? And how much food would you have consumed in a binge?

Progress. You're making real progress. Now all you have to do is work on the guilt feelings. All they ever do is harm.
