Hi Everyone :)

I've spent years of yo-yo dieting and tried quite a few diets. Feeling very unhappy with my weight for a while and decided that now is the time for me to make a change to my life.

I had heard a rumour that one of the mums at school had lost a lot of weight so decided to be brave and ask what her secret was. She told me that she had lost 6st on LipoTrim. She told me all about it and so I set of for the Chemist this morning!

I am really excited about loosing weight after reading the amazing stories and so many positive posts on here.

Going for the Chocolate Shake in the morning! Is there any tips for the beginner I should know about?

Hiya I started on Monday. Not going too bad actually.Thought it was going to be harder than it is. And a sneaky look at the scales and I've lost already!!! Incentive enough for me!! Come in this forum a lot Tink it does help. The choc you can have hot too nice well you get the chills. And the chick soup is good when you need a savory fix.

Good luck you can do it!

hey hun and welcome to the site. this place is great and you can get all the advice you need. chat or moan someone will answer!! :)

now this diet is fab but tough. the 1st week will be the hardest as you will experience withdrawal but stick with it and it gets better. :) keep drinking the water, maybe set yourself some mini goals to aim for and have some distractions ready!!!

some days will be tougher than others but keep im mind why you are doing this diet!!!

some tips that helped me is using a straw to drink my shakes which i make using cold water and an electric whisk. gets rid of all the lumps and bumps!! ;)

good luck hun!!

Thanks for the tip Annie, i'll definately try that.
Great news about your loss and I bet you will have lost more by next Monday!
I'm glad I found this forum for support.

Thanks Bex

I'm not used to drinking much water, but have got a few bottles. I will put them in the fridge to cool!

Still trying to find my way around this forum, but i'll get there in the end!

Hiya Tink, it truly is a miracle diet! I just feel like the weight is melting off me, and it's only day 13! The best advice I'd give about the shakes, is to make them in a blender, or if you're lazy about washing up like me use one of those electric hand blenders (that people on the telly use to blend soup up with) - it's a godsend to me as it eradicates all lumps. I was retching the stuff down full of lumps before discovering this little trick, and now my shakes are nice and smooth and frothy, much better!

My other top tip is to put a shot of strong black coffee into the vanilla shake for a lovely creamy latte type drink - v nice for breakfast.

I found the first week quite easy, but had a bit of a dip at the end of the week (prob because my friends and family were eating so much yummy food and I was jealous!), however didn't quit, got a good night's kip and found my positive thinking back again next day. It has taught me loads about my psychological dependence on comfort food, very illuminating. You may find yourself dreaming about eating and feeling awful that you cheated on your diet, but when you wake up you feel awesome cos you didn't cheat at all! I've done that a few times!

And just remember that you're doing something that's so hard, but it gets easier, and I get a real buzz out of knowing that I'm finally doing something pro-active about my weight after all these years.

Best of luck Tink, let us all know how you're doing! :D

Hi Tink, welcome and good luck!
I can only second what everyone else has said, it is tough but so worth it.
I've just finished my first week and I can't believe what a difference it has made already. I'm really starting to feel good about myself again, knowing that I am on the way to a slimmer, fitter me.
Lipotrim is great because it gives you a complete break from food, I've always found dieting to be like asking a heroin addict to cope on one fix a week. The fact you don't eat on this ( and don't worry about feeling hungry like I did, you really don't feel that hungry at all, especially after the first few days - drink the water as much as you can, and it really helps) means that you get time to think about food, and for me, how often I ate when I really didn't need to.
I'm wearing a pair of trousers today I haven't got into for a year, and they are loose! I've lost four inches off my waist already ( haven't checked the rest of my measurements yet) and I have so much energy my hubby is in a panic! Worked 10 hours today, done all my ironing and cleaned the house :D so feeling very good.
Lots of luck, keep coming on here if you need advice and encouragement, everyone is fab.
Look forward to hearing about your first weigh in!

hey there,

im on my 3rd weigh in tomorrow, i lost 1stone 4lbs in the first week and 6lb in the 2nd week! so just stick to it and youl be fine! i put a bit of crushed ice in a blender then the sachet and it makes it rather 'frothy'! :) and if i was you id stay well away from the chicken soup! its rank!

good luck and youl do fine

Totally agree with Dave about the soup, it is utterly rancid! The first time I tried it I quite liked it, the second time it wasn't so good, and I've gone off it so much that I never had the 3rd sachet! Give it a whirl, plenty people swear by it. But it gives me the boke! :p

"Flapjacks"... sure there's a serious breach of contract there - flapjacks they aint!

However, they're great when you need somethin to chew, and they're dead handy to have at work instead of messing around with lumpy shakes cos your blender is at home! I wasn't a massive fan of the coconut one but the peanut one is quite palatable with a nice aftertaste. They're not somethin you'd ever choose to eat if you weren't doing LT, however they provide a canny alternative to the liquid only regime! I'm a fan!

you think clara??? i must admit ive been put off my various comments and im not at the stage where i desperately need to chew something but atleast i have that option!! ;)

Thanks for all your lovely comments.

Got up this morning feeling so enthusiastic. Had the vanilla shake with coffee in it and drank it with a straw. Have to admit I feel quite full. Will deffo have to get a little electric hand whisk to sort out the lumps though!
Told some of the mums when I took the kids to school and they all wished me luck!

Going to find a tape measure now and measure all my wobbly bits! lol

When I collected meals from the chemist I wasn't given any literature just the bag, should I have been given anything?

Also I've read about people testing to see if theyre in ketosis. I don't have to take a urine sample with me to the chemist when I weigh in next week do I?

Loving this forum x

i wasnt given anything hun. some info on the LT bag your packs come in but if you unsure of anything ask away on here or speak to chemist. :)

i dont get my ketones checked but your chemist should have the stick things that you pee on and it will say if you in ketosis or not but if you stick with it 100% you will get there anyway. so i dont think you need to take a sample hun. :)

i use a straw makes tem go down sooo much better. i would defo reccommend an electric whisk hun . my dad got me mine from asda, only a cheap one but its my favourite thing at the moment. ;)

good luck and can i just say i love the name!! :D

Thanks Bex, off to Asda ;)

Hi Tink, hope the rest of your first day has gone well. You sound really positive which always helps :)
I got quite a lot of info from my chemist when I started the lipotrim, but really all the info you need is on the carrier bag. The lipotrim website is also very useful.
Good luck for tomorrow :)

hi everyone,

i'm new too but have been looking at this forum since starting lipotrim a couple of weeks ago. It has really helped me on those dark days! I have to say though, i found the first week easier than i expected, but have struggled the second week, i guess thats because everyone keeps saying it will get easier!

I find a good way to get rid of lumps is to sieve the shake once you've made it up, into a mug. You can then squish all the lumps up too and they eventually go through the sieve too, nice and smooth and no lumps!!

Hi Jenster
I followed Bex's advice and bought a small hand blender from Sainsburys at £5.00 Works a treat!!!
