Rooibos tea??

I have narrowed down my headaches to drinking this tea. I had been keeping a food/drink diary to see if I could figure out what triggered them, and it's ALWAYS when I have rooibos tea! At first I thought it might be the sweetener I use which contains aspartame, but I have it on strawberries and I don't get them, and I also have it in regular tea and don't get them.

Then someone suggested it could be caffeine withdrawal (it's caffeine free) but I still drink coffee and diet drinks that contain caffeine, so I don't think thats it.

Upon reading about it, I've seen a LOT of people get headaches/migraines from it. But I haven't seen anything that says WHY. Does anyone know anything about it? I really love the taste of it (Redbush) and now I have to give it up:cry:

I wonder if it is brand related as Leapfrog suggests. I grew up in South Africa where Rooibos tea is extremely common and haven't heard of that - which isn't to say it doesn't happen, just that I'm not sure it's widely known side-effect there.

I might try a new brand, but it won't be til next week as I've already been shopping this week. Plus a few days without a headache might be good!
