Water Intake and Exercise

Hey peeps I know there has been loads of threads on exercise and water intake but I was wondering what the maximum water intake can be if you are exercising.

I at the moment am sipping through 3litres of water but would normally drink 2litres when exercising.. is that excessive?

2 or 3 litres is fine. As long as you don't go over say 4.5 litres you should be okay. I drink 4/4.5 litres per day

Thanks Clair I ended up drinking 4 litres of water but was still really thirsty.. bizarre!

Yikes Clair you must be constantly on the loo ;)

I know there is a danger to drinking too much as it has a negative effect on the vitamins and minerals that you are taking.. Maybe you should try and decrease your intake to 4 litres maximum just to ensure that you are getting all the vitamins and minerals?

I know what you mean Clair Im always thirsty!

Why is it before LT I didn't drink much water at all but was never thirsty and now I'm drinking over 3lts day my mouth always feels so dry?

I don't drink 6 or 7 litres, but some days I could! I stick to 4/4.5 litres, and yes I'm often on the loo!

Sorry Clair I misunderstood the "you could" drink that amount to the "you do" drink that amount- sorry if there was any offence taken
