Has anyone watched this?
Its on channel 4 weekdays at 2.55pm. Its great.

Gizzi Erskine shows you how to make scrummy low fat food and features a different food addict each day.
I have been taping it all week but its on iPlayer or channel 4's reload or whatever its called.

Its worth a look.

I am just making her Japanese Chicken Katsu curry with steamed rice that she did earlier this week. I can't wait. Fingers crossed i don't muck it up. I will work out the points shortly.

Oooh I love that programme! The food she makes is so yummy, I thought the creamy garlic mushrooms on toast looked lovely too :) xxx

OMG it was delicious

My husbands only complaint was that there was not enough sauce.

We had quite large chicken breasts so with that and 100g cooked boiled rice it worked out at about 7 points. It was better than any takeaway. That Holly Golightly lookalike is a genius in the kitchen.

Now i'm off onto amazon to order her book cos i am hooked!

It's on youtube too :) I saw a couple of episodes last week.

I am definately going to have a go at making this :) Can I ask you, how many points did you put this as? Had a looky on the channel 4 website but it only tells you the fat, not the sat fat xx

I pointed the recipe as I went along on the ww online recipe builder. We had very large chicken breasts and so it worked out at about 6.5 pts plus rice.

Had I used a 100g fillet it would have knocked a good 2 pts off.

Also you do not use all the flour and cornflakes as they are used for covering the fillet then you throw the rest away.

It is really yummy tho.

The sauce would be great on it's own with chips. Most of the points are in the chicken and coating. The sauce works out at about 4 pts for the whole amount. It's like chip shop curry sauce only nicer.

X

Thank-you for that :) Can't wait to make this :) x

Yum! This sounds delicious :) may also have to invest in her book.

I've got the CYT cookbooks, a couple of them, I don't know if there are more out there. Some of the recipes are really good :)

She also does stuff for Company magazine and it always looks good. I think I might have to purchase the book since all the feedback on here is so good! Katsu curry sounds lush!

Did you buy her book? I wasn't sure if it was more of a general learn to cook book or if it was about learning to cook low fat etc?
I've tried a couple of her recipes, the aubergine dip which was really nice but didn't seem to keep very well for the next day. I also made the spiced shepherds pie which was absolutely gorgeous and my boyfriend loved it too! I love her kitchen gadget suggestions, since I've been watching my Amazon wishlist has filled up with oil pumps and microplane graters etc!
