Boozy birthday.

So, before I actually started Atkins, I told several of my friends to book the day off work for my birthday next week. Since starting the diet, however, I'm guessing a night drinking carb-filled beers is going to be a disaster. I'd feel bad cancelling all my plans after they made the effort to get the day off work, but right now I'd happily just not do anything (although, they definitely wouldn't let me get away with that).

I'm guessing spirits are the way to go, then? What would be the one with the lowest carbs in it (taking into account that there's likely to be a LOT of drinking)? I can't stand dark rum, and I'd rather not drink whiskey unless I had to. I'm also not a fan of wine. If I'm going to drink, I might as well try to make the effort to keep within the 20g limit.

Yep clear spirits & diet mixers are the best! Dry wine (red or white) is fine too.

Enjoy... after all you only get to celebrate once a year.

Be warned tho.. you'll be a cheap drunk & will feel like crap the next day so glug glug glug that water!! xxx

See what you mean on the "cheap date" I'm a lightweight with my drink to begin with but since I've not had anything since March and only really drank water since then I can hardly handle one glass! Went to Mums last night to arrange our annual girlie London weekend so the wine was flowing. I ended up having 2 glasses of Rosé and I was anybodys!!! Feeling a bit "never again" this morning though!
 
LOL yes, the first real drink I had on induction I was totally pissed, LMAO.
