Can I switch to LighterLife Lite?

I have completed foundation and am now in developers but have started to feel like I need to move on in my journey. I have stuck to abstinence and unlike everyone else in my group have not been having regular lapses.

I feel I am ready to test myself by reintroducing food. In the past when I did diets where you could eat I couldn't help but cheat because I knew I was allowed eat so I wasn't being too naughty.

Abstinence has taught me that I can actually stick to a diet and not cheat so now I want to learn how to eat, but within boundaries, I think it would be very suitable for where I am psychologically because I am not being tested anymore by abstinence because it has become routine and second nature.

I have weighed up pros and cons of this and really feel that LLL could be the answer. As I am not at goal weight I am not ready for RTM but feel that maybe I would get more benefit from discussing and the experience my real problem which is sticking to boundaries with food. A lot of the issues dealt with in abstinence seem to be about lapsing but because i'm not lapsing i'm not experiencing the same issues.

Its not that I want to eat, its more that I want to know that I can have control when I can eat. Does this make sense or am I am rambling lunatic.

Going on the LLL after completing foundation was never listed as an option to me by LLC so I'm not sure if it even allowed? My BMI is now down to 27.6 so I am within the range required to do the Lite programme.

From what my llc says they are 2 very different ways of loosing weight and it was briefly touched on in my group yesterday but i dont think its an option, Though do check with your llc. she said somthing about food intake and ketosis and length of time you're on each and the body adjusting i think! sorry can't say more because its not an option for me so didnt really pay enough attention.

do let me know though it sounds interesting!

I'm not sure why you feel the need to "test yourself" regards food when you haven't reached your goal weight?? For me I didn't want to eat food till I'd got there and then I dealt with the RTM (I'm just about to start week 3). Won't you feel disappointed you didn't get to goal?

I just don't see this diet as a test but as a way of losing my excess weight. Sorry if I'm missing something here!

I think its because everyone in my group is finding it hard to stick to packs and i'm not so the whole time group is about talking about how to deal with lapses but i don't have that problem. I know i won't find going back to food as easy as abstinence so maybe thats why. I will still get to goal doing lighterlife lite so don't think there is anything to be disappointed about but i would also be dealing with my issues with boundaries on only eating from a select list of foods. Means i can deal with my issues for longer as i would deal with them on lite and then on route to management. I keep coming up with blanks when llc wants examples of something I've struggled with in the last week

it sounds like your group is having quite an effect on you. I was lucky that none of mine lapsed at any time the the 14 weeks and when I went onto developers we all stuck to it too.
Have you discussed your thoughts and reasoning with your LLC?
If things are going well at the moment and you're sticking to it, I'd say stick to it until you get to goal. Going back onto any food is hard so there is a chance it could spiral out of control as it does with so many.
If you get to goal, then you can begin to challenge yourself with food. The point you're at is a real crunch time for a lot of people and of those who go onto food, they always seem to come back a few months later saying they wish they'd have got to goal.
Saying that, I know Minerva went onto LLL before she got to goal and has been incredibly successful although it's never plain sailing! Maybe PM her to ask for advice?
Good luck with whatever you decide to do but most of all, make sure it's your decision and not swayed by your group's behaviour

My group is very similar. Almost everyone cheats regularly and alot of the group time is taken up with discussion of this which is useless to me as I am sticking to the diet!

Our LLC has said we are welcome to move over to LLL if any of us feel it would be beneficial. I would speak to your LLC and see what she recommends. Personally I think I will stay in abstinence until I am at goal but I completely understand why you would want to explore your relationship with food in a very controlled way.
