Hi
So as I posted before I am going to my first meeting tomorrow.

I wondered if any of you would recommend any of things on sale at the meeting?

I am going to do the monthly pass thing and I am sure I saw somone on here they bought a monthly pass pack which has the calulator etc? How much are they?

I'm not sure how much they are sorry. I just got an eating out and shop book free with my monthly pass. I bought the points calculator and scales in my first meeting and they have been such a lifesaver! Really really handy :) The scales are very accurate and seem to have loads of food stored in them, great for keeping portion sizes in control. The calculator is handy for shopping if you want to work out the points of anything. I also used mine the other day in Wetherspoons to work out how bad/good the meals were. Would highly recommend both! I also want to get a pedometer but they had sold out at my meeting so couldn't but am going to try and get hold of one :) Hope that helps

Hello well done for going tomorrow ;)

I brought the pack where you have the eating out guide shopping a calculator and tape measure I got mine last year £20 something not sure how much it is now. I recommend you have these things esp the eat out guide and the calculator as they are essential I think.

I also 2 weeks ago saved up lol brought a ww pedometer plus I love it its tells you how many points you have to do for your weight and height and then so many steps after to get activity points ''AP''

I do it alone at home but meeting are a good form of support.

xx

Hi what meals are the best in weatherspoons I had the plaice and chips 11.5 points but it wasnt much?

I love my pedometer got mine on ebay hun :) xx

I have been doing WW since Jan and i dont own anything WW related and im doing fine. I dont believe they are a necessity as there are so many other things, especially on the web, that can help!

Do you not own any ww product not a paper calculator? How do you work out points in foods?

I've just read a thread on iphone apps so I think I will download those instead of the calculator :).

Don't suppose there are any for eating out whilst i'm on there? lol

The scales sound tempting though

I have an iphone but someone on here said the ap isnt correct on the iphone its not weightwatchers ? It doesnt work out the points right? x

I had the sweet chilli and veg noodles (new for summer menu) which came to 4.5pts which I thought was great but a bit paranoid as there seemed to be loads of sauce on it for such a small points value. Didn't affect my weight loss though :) was showing OH the nutritional info and his old favourite mighty mixed grill, he was mortified that it was 37 points!!

Yes, I think ebay will be the way to go for the pedometer! :)

If you have the monthly pass, you can use WW online calculator and database of thousands of foods for free! x x It also has a weight loss tracker.

Good luck.
Pink x x

Other than my starter pack which i got in my first meeting i dont have anything, rephrased better??
Even if i didnt have them i have a good online calculator that i use anyway :8855:and i use an online eating out guide

The woman i sit next to at work has the calculator, all the books, the pedometer, oil spray and the scales but hardly uses any of them

Each to their own hey , I use my ww pedometer every day and it's for me a good tool I also use my ww calculator eat out books shopping cooks and ww cook books I think it's helped me ficus and lose 2 stone + in 14 weeks. Onlines good for many people I brought the 3 month ww online deal and only use the weight tracker lol.

I guess every person is different. The best thing I bought was the essentials pack. It was £9.95 and has a tracker, the shop book and the eating out guide. Admittedly I don't use the tracker book as I just get a paper tracker at my meeting every week, but the shop and eating out books are essential to me :)

I think it depends what you use. Someone had posted about one being inaccurate but it was a US one not a UK one.

I use iwtchr and its great.

I couldnt manage without my shopping guide and EO guide. Couldnt be bothered with the hassle of checking online for everything. If Im eating out somewhere in the guide I like to take it with me

I am using online and find it invaluable. I don't use the tracker book though, an ordinary notebook is just fine - and a lot cheaper.

Do have a calculator and scales - I find both to be a god send.

When I signed up for monthly pass I got the shop and eating out guide for free:D

Last night I got the kitchen scales and boy they are fab! I know they do everything the paper stuff does, but as I cook alot from scratch it's def going to be easier!

Did you know a standard block of noodles (plain amoy style ones) are 4pt's:( I have only been putting them down as 3 ooopppsss! Seems I have def been under counting big time!

I also buy the magazine and love the sweet chilli crisps they do from the meeting:D

They are fab aren't they!! And I agree that they are more accurate than just taking the word of the food book :) I too get the magazine and am a little bit addicted to the liquorice fruities :p
