Pink's Weight Loss Journey

Hi Everyone.

I started Slimming World last week (2nd June 2010) and weighed in at 10st 1/2lb.
I have set my target weight at 9st 2lb so I have 12 1/2lb to lose. Although I may go lower once I get there as I'm only short.
I am struggling to be motivated, and even in my first week back at SW I have went over my syns so much that I am expecting to have put on weight!
However, I have had alot on this week with visitors and parties at work and drinking much more than I would in an average week.

So, from tomorrow morning it is a clean slate.

I will be back to update on how my weigh in goes tonight:(

I probably won't post a food diary on here but would really appreciate any help or advice anyone wants to offer.

Pink x

Hi Pink, good luck tonight, hope it goes ok, as you say - this week is a whole new week. Good luck x

Thanks Louise!

Well I STS which really isn't bad considering what I have eaten and drank this week.

Am back on plan today and totally focussed. I usually stick to the green plan, have a baked potato with spaghetti hoops and cheese for my lunch today... yummy!

Also plan to fit in some body magic this week, either gym/ walking.

Hope to lose at least 2lbs at weigh in next week, wish me luck :)

Hi

Well I had a really good day on SW yesterday, 100% to plan with 4 syns.

Also 50 minutes cardio work in the gym.

Am really hoping I am back in 'the zone' feeling very positive that I can do this.

Don't have very much planned for the weekend, may try some cooking, have a recipe for macaroni cheese with brocoli and cauliflour in it which sounds nice.

How is everyone else getting on?

Seems I'm talking to myself here, but I don't mind as it's helping with my motivation.

I am proud to say that I have stuck to plan 100% so far this week! One of my work colleagues has brought in lots of goodies, but I have managed to be good by having a few but keeping within my syn allowance. This is a bit of a revelation for me as normally I would keep eating til they're all gone.

I have been doing green days, made a gorgeous mixed bean chilli (recipe from May June SW magazine) on Sat, would def recommend! I plan to have this for tea tonight with SW chips, yum.

Have been to the gym Thurs, Fri, Sun and will go either tonight or tomorrow night.

WI this evening... have to say I'm feeling nervous!

Have had a really good week, 100% to plan but have had 15 syns on a few of the days so I'll be disappointed with anything less than 2lb.

My clothes don't feel any different at all though, so I really don't know what to expect.

Keeping fingers crossed, will be back to update in the morning x

Good luck for your WI pink!

Disappointment, how best to move on from it?

Thank you Spanx!

well unfortunately I am here to report a very disppointing loss of 0.5lb, absolutely gutted!

my consultant seemed to think it may be all of the exercise, apparently your joints can retain water, hmmm seems strange to me, has this happened to anyone else?

also I was out for lunch yesterday, stuck to plan as much as possible, but would have had a lot more food in my stomach than normal before WI, that may have affected it.

So after that, I am defo struggling to keep my motivation, have eaten four biscuits already today lol...

Hi hun, first of all.......nooooooo, put the biscuits down hun, don't let this stop you.

I agree with your consultant, when I first started exercising I did approx 30 miles on bike and lots of walking in a first week, however, I lost 0.5lb, even though I'd exercised so much and stuck to plan. The next week I had a bigger drop, so stick with it and keep going.

Also - try writing your food diary on here, that way we can all check you're not making any little mistakes or anything. x

Don't give up so soon Pink! I know it's disappointing, but at least it was a loss!

Also, you haven't got a lot to lose compared to lots of people on this site - me for example! - so a half a pound loss to you is like a 2 pound loss to me!

Keep going and hopefully you will reap the rewards next week!

Just read through your posts; don't feel disappointed for a 0.5lb loss. Just think of it this way, if you'd stayed the same, would you not have thought 'if only I'd lost just half a pound?'. Any loss is fantastic, and taking you that little bit closer to target.

Keep up the lovely work with the posts, I look forward to reading them in the future (^_^)

:)Hey everyone, thanks so much for the replies! I think having this diary definitely stopped me from going off the rails completely.

I haven't been too bad this week I think so will wait and see what WI brings this evening, fingers crossed!

I get paid this Friday so plan to buy a 12 week countdown, hopefully that will help with the motivation
