Vicki's CD diary Day 1 09/06/10

This will be my year
Hi everyone,

Today is day 1 on my CD journey, but not for the first time I should add

I started CD at the end of January, lost 15lb in the first 2 weeks and then badly hurt my back, meaning that I had to give up due to a stay in hospital and all the meds I was taking. Since April I've faffed about "dieting"... although I've yet to make it beyond day 1 :sigh:

I'm off to visit my CDC to collect my packs tonight and honestly feel excited about the prospect of tackling my fat ass once and for all. I'm a bit apprehensive too because it does mean a commitment to change my life and how I view food, not just for the next few months, but for the rest of my life if I don't want to end up back in this position in a couple of years time. I know it can be done, I've seen all the fantastic success stories on Minimins, and with the support of everyone on here I'm sure I can do it.

One question I have is about exercise. I have quite a heavy ('scuse the pun ;)) weekly schedule at the gym... Body Pump twice a week, Body Combat, Step, Pilates and Aqua Circuits once a week. I don't want to give it up as it helps with my back, but I've read in various threads that it's too much while I'm on CD. Please can anybody offer any advice on whether it's OK for me to carry on with my schedule?

Thanks for reading my ramblings, I'm sure I'll be asking lots more questions and posting more musings in the coming weeks and months.

I hope everybody has a good day

Vicki

Hi Vicki, welcome back. Glad that your back is better now. I don't think that level of exercise is recommended on SS but maybe you could do a higher plan which will give you enough energy for the gym. Have you asked your CDC?

Hope it goes well for you - another bonus of losing weight is that it is sure to help your back too:)

Welcome & Good luck x
