I bought a bag of mixed cabbage and leeks and wondered if anyone has any preparation suggestions?

cook it then drain it and add grated chesse to it and let it melt sooo nice think it was jim who told me this yummyyy

fry with butter :D yum

fry it up with bacon lardons, yum yum

Thanks for suggestions - never think to fry greens. Will leave the bacon as veggie, and don't think Quorn bacon would have the same impact ;)

they are the best fried. Especially Kale :D

Definately fried in plenty of butter, I usually add bacon lardons & cream too... doesn't help much on the veggie stakes.

I've never tried kale i keep walking past it in asda, picking it up then thinking "Hmmm not sure i like the look of that" and putting it back.

Sounds like I might be missing out though. What does it taste like??

It's nice, it has a very fresh green taste.

Hmmm i might get some next time I'm in asda then.

Anything to add a bit of variety in the veg department. Getting a bit fed up of Brocolli and cauli.

what about green beans, Pak choi, Chinese cabbage, spinach, I love them all.

ahhh just goggled it looks like cress is that right can we have cress jim love egg and cress mmmmmm

You can get alfalfa sprouts in Holland & Barratt. They are usually in packets in the fridge section. They are nice on salads but quite a strong flavour.
