Missing a HEX B

Karen

Serial Foodie!
I got caught short today as we had a family day out and the sarnies got made with white bread instead of wholemeal so I have had to sin it instead. this means I have had 20 sins and missed a HEX B and I cannot eat another bite. I have missed my HEX A as well.

Will it matter much, just this once or should i try to have something later? I dont have any bars or anything (need to go shopping!) so i would have to have bread and cheese or bread and milk but don't want any!

To be honest I wouldn't worry, write it off as a bit of a weird day and get straight back on the plan tomorrow. We all have days where things are a bit out of our control and I honestly don't think eating something just for the sake of it when you're already full is a good idea.

you could always have weetabix and milk before you go to bed? if you have some obviously :) i find 2 weetabix and milk a FAB way to get both a HexA and HexB out of the way in one meal xx

thanks! i think i will write it off for today as i'm peeved to have had so many sins. however, if i am peckish b4 bed, i will definitely have the weetabix and milk... i hadnt thought of cereal! d'oh! thanks again xx

That's a good plan. I just think that one of the reasons I got overweight is because I ate when I wasn't hungry so for me missing 2 HEX feels like it will do a lot less harm than getting back into that pattern of eating even when I don't need to, if you see what I mean? Of course people may disagree :)

i totally agree with you. I am a recovering 'eater for the sake of it' and its definitely a habit worth staying rid of! I was just worried i would slow my metabolism or something silly like that. i didnt think 1 day would matter but am peeved to have already messed up due to bad planning in my first week. ah well! i'll know to organise myself better next time and made the picnic myself instead of palming it off on my poor old mum lol. xx

I wish I had to get HExA and HExB 'out the way'!
I have to be so so so careful to preserve my beloved HExB choices!!

hehe :) Jemma are you doing red/green or EE? i think doing red/green days the healthy extras feel more important, like if you dont have them you feel quite restricted? as in, its so nice to be able to mix carbs and meat in one meal that you tend to savour HeBs more and look forward to them? i hope that makes sense lol i know what i mean anyway... and before anyone says anything i do know that there's more to healthy extras than just "mixing carbs and meat in one meal" lol :p
