Very proud of myself

Ended up having impromptu lunch at mums with my cousins and niece this afternoon, and resisted...

crusty french bread; hummous; ice cream

I did succumb to 8 maltesers though - but the bread would have been SO much worse.

They really are hard to be around while sticking to diets - of the 'oh go oooon' variety. But, I had salad, low fat ham, strawberries with VFF vanilla yogurt, with sugar free squash and sparkly water.

I feel like I've jumped a big juicy hurdle today!

well done you! i know just how you feel, whenever i visit my parents theyre always eating crusty bread, cheeses and salami/chorizo type continental meats its sooooo hard to resist! good on you, thats some pretty strong will power youve got there :D

Well done! My mother in law has invited us for tea next weekend, and she is very much of the "oh go on" school of eating, but since I started losing, she too has started working on her weight, and being very successful with it, and so when she rang me up to invite me, she made sure to say "Oh, and I found this recipe in a slimming magazine for chicken casserole, so I am going to make that". Normally its a BIG roast dinner. Hopefully she will manage to curb her desire to fill us with fifteen desserts afterwards.

My mum does try - it was 'low fat' hummous, and she can't get the bread thing at all. She's just only done low calorie dieting, and there really is no changing her!

Now - can I resist the peer pressure plus temptation to drink at the weekend??

I'm always amazed how full the world is of temptations as soon as I'm trying to stick 100% on plan. And THEN there's genuine error too! Like that poor lady with the vanilla yogurt on another thread. Fat free but not syn free. The whole world seems intent on stopping me lose weight!

Does that sound paranoid??
