Making the descision.. Help..!

I lost 18lb in 4.5 weeks and then took a 2 week break from the diet and was supposed to start back on Monday but because of different events etc I didn't.. I had planned on restarting on June 14th but I have 2 weekends away (1 long one in July and 1 in August) both of which involve lots of food and drink, because of this I am unsure if I should start back at all... Then in September (back at school) I will have a 18th birthday party to attend most weekends aswell as it being my final year (lots of study, stress etc). I love the diet and I stuck to it really well last time but with all these distractions I just am not sure. My eating these past few weeks has been crazy and I just don't stick well to ''food'' diets so Cambridge is the best option for me...

Should I start back anyway and take the breaks off for the weekends away during the summer and then maybe move up the plans come September and try and avoid as many birthdays as possible..?

Help please..!

you have quite a full calendar lol. the balls in your court really.

i would say though that if you get back on plan each time and have just one day off or the weekend off for each then you could be lower each time and there would be little catch up after each event as it would be water weight whereas if you stay off diet you could go up.

another option could be swapping to sw or ww until these events have been cleared if you don't want to go back on CD.

i've been playing CD ping pong of late as i had a holiday and have found it hard to get back on track as i've very close to my goal weight.

can you not do one of the higher plans that allow food, and then work with that?
I'm not sure what the plans are as I'm on SS but your CDC should be able to tell you

hope you're OK, and make the best decision for you xx

I agree with the above, either try a slightly higher plan or stick to CD and just accept that those weeks you may not have as good a loss but think about it - one weekend out of a month off the diet, surely the rest of the month if you stick to it well will be enough! you'll be lowering your weight as you go! Maybe treat these weekends as goals or rewards for stick 100% up until those dates. Or just stick to CD through the weekends. I know it's not easy for everyone but i still go out clubbing and to BBQs etc with my mates, i just see CD as a routine and don't stray from it even when i'm out (although it can be quite tough!) With the 18th birthdays you have a few months before they begin but why not offer to be the allocated photographer for the night - that way you'll be too busy taking photos of everyone to worry about not eating/drinking - it's got me through a lot a of parties and nights out. I'm sure you'll work out what is best for you hun, everyones different just remember that one night doesn't mean you fail and just think how much you could lose despite these events. Surely that's worth it! xx

I know what you mean about lots of different events coming up - but there will always be events and socialising - don't keep putting it off. I have been there, done that and am almost back where I started - if I'd just stuck with it and only eaten at the time of the event, I'd be a lot thinner than I currently am;) As others have said above, if you can stick with it on other days then you'll be losing all the time, just at a slightly slower rate - if you put it off you may well be heavier when you decide to start! There are some CDers who are at target who always came off plan for holidays and went straight back to 100% CD after the hols and have done brilliantly - so it depends on the person you are;)

This may sound harsh (isn't meant too) but if you really want to lose weight you have to sacrafice food, even on those big occasions! Taking breaks and putting starting off because 'you have to eat' at a certain event does not work! The only way to truly succeed on CD is to decide to do it 100% and accept that you are going to miss eating at some major events. I am in sales and when I am on CD and have to take clients out for dinner, I sit and watch them eat their meal and drink water! It's all about how much you want this. If eating at parties etc is more important to you than losing weight then your decision is right there, if making a sacrafice for a few months to change the rest of your life is more important, get back on CD tomorrow!!
