Hey guys,

Need to pick your brains, tomorrow I am traveling to London for an appointment, I drive from here in Lancashire to Slough and then get the train from Slough to London. Its going to be an all day and evening affair travel wise

I don't want to have to come off plan and leave myself open to bad food choices, so I am after some help. ideas etc. I was thinking of having magic porridge for breakfast at home, and then packing up a sandwich and fruit and yoghurt in a cool bag for lunch, but I am scuppered as to what to do for tea time:confused:

Help!

are you going to eat out or get something to eat on the move? where in London will you be?

there are sooooo many options. you could go to nando's to get chicken and rice and sweetcorn etc, or you could get a chicken salad or something from M&S/Tesco. you could go to Pontis and get a jacket potato with beans etc.

Hiya

Was hoping to grab something on the go as won't really have time to have sit down meal, will be going to W2 (St Mary's Hospital)

Thanks:)

i would go for something from Tesco/M&S/Boots then, because they have them everywhere and you can get something and take on the train. you could pick up some roast chicken (take the skin off) and haev with a preprepared salad (M&S do a Santarini salad of mixed leaves, onion, tomatoes and pepper) and just don't have the sauce.

or you could get a mug shot or something and ask for some hot water on the train (If you have a catering cart?)

or you could always make a big pasta dish at home and take it with you in a tuppelware container?

nando's do take out, so you could get that

Thanks, think will look at Nando's and pack a boxed salad for lunch, instead:)

I live in W2 and the nearest Nando's are on Baker St or Westbourne Grove - aka abit of a trek. There's a Yo Sushi! in Paddington Station which might be of use, if not as you walk down Praed St there's a cafe called Limon, they're quite nice and will make up a salad bowl for you to take away.
