low fat cakes

does anyone have any nice recipes as i seen to have delevoped a sweet tooth

have had a good day today as i have had the day off work and there has been no temptations around, must be the first good day in weeks
 
There is a nice recipe on rosemaryconley.tv for a fruit cake. I have made it a couple of times and my family really like it, you cant tell it is low fat. It is called Light fruit cake x
 
There is one somewhere for banana and sultana cake - its really lovely - I will try and fine it out for you and post it later but it may be later in the week by time I do it. - Sorry
 
havent tried it yet but someone has just given me a recipe for a fat free cake, it has got sugar in it though .

2 weetabix
6oz sultanas
8oz soft dark sugar
half pint milk
soak all overnight


then add 1 egg
7oz s.r.flour
teaspoon salt
bake gas 3,.. 160
for 1 1/4...1 1/2 hours


i am off out to buy some weetabix to try it out
 
skip the cooking hon most of the good for you asda cakes are ace plus its easier to do portion control cause there in little cake slices the carrot ones are nice and so are the bakewells , i have a bit of a penchent for biscuits and they make a nice substitute. XXX

i havent tried them yet but i have just got myself some of WW carrot cakes ,they are only 0.8 % fat, and the morrisons lemon ones are only under 3%

i did make that cake that was fat free that i put the recipe on here in an earlier post , but i didnt have any dark brown sugar ,so rather than using 8 ounces of brown sugar, i used only 4 ounces of white sugar, it turned out ok and tasted rather nice so i think i will make it again .
