Hi, all , im starting Exante today hopefully to lose some pounds before my hols in 3 weeks , i had a vanilla shake for breakfast which i thought was suprisingly tasty , and just had a toffe raisin bar which was a bit chewy! and going to have a soup later not sure which flavor yet but so far so good not as bad as i expected! any tips etc would be great :)

Hello sks - just wanted to say hi. There are a few of us who have started Exante at roughly the same time. And there are many very experienced VLCD's on here who are fantastically helpful and they're the ones with all the tips so I'll leave that bit to them!

Good luck. The first few days are a bit rough for most people but once ketosis kicks in it's much, much easier. And of course you see results very quickly. Which always helps!

Hi sks & welcome. I started yesterday, & there are quite a few who have started this last week.
Best advice I've seen is keep drinking & take it one day at a time. Once we can get over the initial few days of carb withdrawal it gets a bit easier - :)

thanks both good look to you both and hope to hear how you are doing and will keep you posted on my progress Thanks again :)

Hi there, I'm almost at the end of day two! Everyone on here is really positive which really helps.
I have done vlcd 's before and the advice about making sure you drink water regularly is important!

The main thing that will really help you is that results happen fast and you will start to feel different week by week.compliments will flood your way!!

All the best and keep us updated xx

hello from another newbie!

One tip that really helps me is to make some ice lollys using the water flavourings.really handy to nibble on and they count towards your water quota. Xx

Welcome and good luck. Expect to feel a bit grotty during the first week but stick in there, it does get better. And definitely, keep on drinking the water.

I started on Wednesday last week, and find that if you pop your bars in the microwave for 5-10 secs they are a lot more chewy and yummy!
