Going away on a girl's weekend

I'm going away to the coast for my friends 21st birthday tomorrow.

I plan to weigh in tomorrow morning before I go (My normal weigh in day) but I'm really scared that I'm going to blow it (I'm going away until Monday).

I know I'm going to put on weight over the weekend but how would you guys suggest limiting the damage, so to speak, so I only put on a couple of lbs at most.

I've already got some weight watchers cookies, crackers etc to snack on when I want a sugar hit but it's the meals and booze I'm going to have trouble with.

Ooh I battled with a few situations like this when on ww before (weddings etc..).

Good idea about bringing the low point snacks - definately a good start!!.

Did you save points for this? if you had saved 4 every day since monday then thats 20 which would put a nice dent in alot of what you eat.

Be sensible - dont blow it - its just not going to be worth it when you come back. At dinner, ask for things like veg stir fry (very low) and NO desert. Have melon for starters - this would be a really low meal out and you can put your points towards alcohol instead (ha ha would you listen to my priorities!!)

Drink vodka as its soooo low (only 1 point per drink) and a diet mixer 0. So even if you had your fill it wouldnt be so bad.

If you cant get veg stir fry or equivilant at meal, get dinner but try fill up on veg, ask for NO sauces (as these are where loads of points are hiding and its hardly filling anyway).

Go for choices on the menu that have words like "grilled", "barbequed", "steamed" etc... if it says fried - dont eat it..

Hope you have a fab weekend

have to agree with the vodka! and pasta's in tomato based sauces are a reasonable choice, remember also that restaurant sizes are huge compared to what you'd serve yourself so stop eating when you feel full and don't worry if you leave some :)

Above all else have fun as life is for living! xxx
