2 work colleagues who have always supported me thro my weighloss said to me last night that they dont think i should loose anymore weight (after me telling them i wanted to get to 11 stone so 10lb to go), also a good friend said the same to me this morning, and tbh i really didnt know what to say, i know there only thinking of me and to date ive lost 5stone 4lb, but after thinking i wondering if maybe they are right,i look at myself in the mirror and think im fat but others say im looking great, so because my head is telling me im fat and loosing another stone will i really end up looking scrawney.my head hasnt caught up with my body yet i dont think

how do you fit on the BMI scale? that would give you an idea as to whether you are taking it too far - although it is only a rough guide.

I do understand where your friends are coming from though. When my goddaughter did LL she was something like about 5lbs above the middle of the BMI range - so she was already a healthy weight but became obsessed with losing the last 5lbs. She was beginning to look far too pale and drawn and skinny rather than slim and although she's kept the weight off I personally think she actually looks slightly better that 5lbs heavier, if not more. She feels great and is happy with where she reached which is good but I did get concerned that she was becoming too obsessive with it and she wasn't achieving a healthy relationship with food or her weight. I would guess your friends have the same concerns.

If you think they might be right then why don't you look at entering into maintenance and start stepping up to 810? They will be happier that you are easing yourself back into a healthy relationship with food and you will still lose weight as you go through the stages but it will be slower. That way if it is a mismatch between how your head thinks and how your body looks it will give you time to adjust and it will still be open to you to go back down the plans if you personally feel you need to lose a bit more.

im on the 810 now, i did say that i was going to go up to 1000 when i got to 11.7 which hopefully ill be when i weighin on mon eve, my thoughts are if the theories right that i do 1000 for 2 weeks, 1200 for 3 weeks and 1500 for 3+ weeks to get off the last stone that i was wanting to do, so thinking now i could do it that way and see how it pans out, i dont really have any idea on how much weight you loose on the 1000 so im just gonna have to see how it goes i think

sounds like a good plan - good luck and congratulations on getting to your goal which is an awesome achievement :)

I reakon it takes a long time for your head to catch up with your body but you know whats right for you and your plan sounds good!
You've done so well - a real inspiration.

i'm pretty much the same. i can see places i want to loose more from and i have 6lbs to go. i will be around the weight i was before getting pregnant. i think i was about 11st 3lbs then though... just and was liking more of what i saw. however, peoplw were saying for a while how fab i looked etc this time round is the same. people think i'm ok now but for me i'm not. i'm thinking bmi 24.9 is a minimum healthy. 22bmi is more perfect though. however, again not always right if you are more muscular.

i started moving up the plans with roughly 10-14lbs left to go and i managed to lose whati needed before i got to the 1500 plan, sometimes you get to a certain point where your body just needs the extra calories to give it a bit of a boost, if you move up now then at least if your friends comment you can tell them that you are now working your way up the plans to be able to finish with CD, you dont have to tell them that you are planning to lose some more on it just that you have to do these stages :D

Duncan - you are so close to your gaol girl! :D thats wonderful. Your colleages, maybe are well meaning but you know at the end of the day they dont know how you feel and what this has been like for you. If I were you then I would smile sweetly and just continue to your goal ... move up through the plans as you need to and enjoy knowing you have come this far. They maybe see a change in your confedence ... the change for you which is porbably better, but sometimes people cant cope with change, maybe they want the shy reserved you back???

You do what you want to do, not anyone else.

YOur weight loss is amazing BTW. :D
