Does the CB Diet make you more fertile??

Can/does it make you more fertile & if so how???

One of the mums told me this up the school this morning as she knows we have been trying for 2 years next month & that in July i am back to see my fertility doctor to be referred privatley for IVF & find out all the info

I had something real weird happen to me yesterday that i have never had before, i thought that my period had come & got al upset as i was only day 25 & it was way to early for me (i was devasted yesterday) but turns out it was not my period. Makes me wonder if it was ovulation (i covered myself lastnight incase)

Can this diet make you more fertile?

I think losing weight (to a healthy weight) in general can help your fertility but I have never heard that CD or any VLCD can make becoming pregnancy easier.

CWP does appear to make people more fertile, though we aren't sure why. Perhaps because of the good nutrition. Dunno.

But, I do list it as a possible side effect of the diet so people can be warned There were many on another forum that fell pregnant after years of trying, and others who were doing CWP so they could have IVF, who then didn't seem to need it

Thanks KD for that info.. I have no idea what is going on with my & my cycle at the mo it is driving me mad & has got me wondering if doing this diet is messing with my cycle now?

We have been trying for 9 months for our Son when I started LL and only managed a month then I found out I was pregnant! We now have a gorgeous 10 month old Son and i'm getting the weight off then we can try again.

I have heard that oestrogen get stored in your fat cells and as you lose weight the oestrogen is released from the fat cells again making you more fertile as a result. I'm not sure how true this is because I can't seem to find any info on it anywhere, but my friend was told this by her LL counsellor....

Um I lost 7 stone on the diet last year and then found out I was pregnant without even trying...he was born last week on his due date

I have been testing for the past few days now & keep getting NEGATIVE it is 4 days now until my period in theory should be due

I dont feel pregnant either :-( think i can say im not pregnant & have no idea why i got that 3 days of spotting/brown blood?
