Ideas for 'around the world' them fancy dress party pleeeease!!!

(the title was meant to say 'Theme' not 'Them'!!)

Hi troops,

I'm going to a leaving do for my friend Ross in work who's emigrating to Australia! The theme was going to be 'Australia' (funnily enough!!) but now it's been changed to 'around the world' to open up more possibilities!! I went to an Australian themed one before as a man eating shark!! I felt very fat then so it was easier than wearing something 'sexy'!! I'm feeling more confident now I've lost 3 stone, but definitely not ready for skimpy yet!! I don't mind making an outfit- my friend Lara and I can get quite creative when we want to!!! Any of you creative peeps out there got any ideas? Something a bit unusual/clever?! Thanks in advance!!XXX

I'm as round as the world at the moment so I'd go as a globe! LOL!

Are you going for a national costume type outfit or something else?

I think the Swiss/Alpine look with plaits and lederhosen (sp?) is a bit fun! Or you could go as a Hula girl (optional coconuts). Or how about wearing a really glam ballgown and going as a film star, from LA, of course, sweetie! There are loads of hareem pants type things in the shops at the moment - you could go as some sort of Arabian saucepot with a veil over your face (not easy for drinking admittedly). Native American? Cancan dancer - France. Flamenco frock - Spain (or a matador!) Or you could find a Geri Halliwell dress and go as the UK in the Union Jack.

stick some before pics of you on a dress/teeshirt/bin bag along with a globe type pic. Add a sash and tiara and go as Miss Slimming World.
