Started LL yesterday morning and felt fine yesterday, although starving by last night!!
I have woken up today and just feel so sickly, feels a bit like a really bad hangover!.. very sick, banging headache, buzzing in my ears/head, shaky hands and shivery!!! ... is this normal??!!:(
I'm also struggling on getting water down today, as it is just making the nausea worse, but determined to get it in as i'm sure it will help long term!

All tips and advice gratefully received!!
Thanks
Poorly caroline! x

Sound like what I've got, a virus, it's bad timing that's all. I was the same but had a really bad sore throat as well.

I know what you mean about the water it was impossible to drink much at all and it reflected in my smaller than expected loss last night.

Have a paracetomol and drink water that's room temp rather than cold.

Hi I started LL yesterday and like you I was fine. I have a headache and feel giddy today, I don't feel sick or shaky but a bit cold I think this is normal its because you are withdrawing from carbohydrates .If you think what you had been eating before! and now you are not having all those carbs so your body is having to adjust. keep with it because I was told it will go away Hope you feel better soon

Hi Lottyfern,
Thanks for that, Glad you are doing well...Keep up the good work! Its nice to have someone starting at the same time as me.
Helen, Thanks and i hope you feel better soon x

Keep going girls...

be extra nice to yourselves in these first few days.. it will get easier.. plently of rest and painkillers if nec, and before you know it, you'll be flying along :p

It will pass & you will feel so good about yourself.
I think you've got the carb withdrawals, I also read somewhere that sickness can be one of the side effects when first starting on the diet.

I hope you all get through this quickly, because this really is a great diet & you will achieve your goal if you stick to it.

good luck

It's a bit icky at first, but you'll get through it soon enough. Good luck!

yeah i know that feeling for the first 3 days but it gets better so stick with it honey
xxxx

Thanks everyone for the support.
I went to bed for a couple of hours and have woken up feeling much better and have even managed to get the rest of my water down! Fingers crossed thats the end of the sickness!

The first week is really tough but grit your teeth, dont cheat and push through it. It does get better but your body is adjusting to 500 cals a day, eating whats inside you before it goes into eating all that lovely fat instead! You need to take things very gently for a few days & dont overdo things. For me day 6 was the hardest - no idea why - but just push through it, post on here when you struggle. We all react differently but usually someone wil have experiened simular - I wasnt sick but unbelievably tired & felt very oathetic but it does diminish! One of the huge advantages for me with the diet is that I now am able to hear what my body is telling me rather than silencing any voice with food! Its SOOO liberating! Meanwhile, huge hug!
