so I got my month's supply delivered during the week, and after a nice night out with the girls for my last supper, today is d-day.
Had porridge for breakfast - actually tasted ok!
Went for a walk at lunch and started to have a massive headache and felt ill. Now, I'm hoping this is only a coincidence, but anyhoo..
had spaghetti bolognaise for dinner, along with green salad, tomato and balsamic vinegar.. yum.. again, the food tastes ok.. hope it's all like this, will definitely make it easier to stick to.
I'm horrendous when it comes to drinking water, so that bit's a struggle, but needs must!
So, 2 meals down on day 1, and I have to admit, apart from headache&nausea (only briefly tho) I am pleasantly surprised. :D

hi, good luck on your journey. the meals do actually taste better than they look. try adding some tinned tomatoes to the spag bol and steamed veg to the cottge pie.

oh, nice one cazzy...
i thought I could only have one tomato per day though?
Will try the steamed veg with cottage pie tomo so.. :)
thanks for that. :D

well.. that was a disaster... headache day 2 too as well as the nausea, so am going to do the weight loss the long way via ww. I have a 6 month old and just can't be handling him with a headache and nausea too. :(
So, looks like it's slow and steady for me!

Sadly Caz, that's normal BUT... it only usually lasts a day - certainly did with me, anyway (often referred to as the 'carb hangover'!). Couple of days feeling a tad spaced out, but I only felt rough for a day. And compared to my mates, I had it bad. It's quite survivable, and part of the 'getting used to VLCD' process. It's your body converting from carbs as it's main fuel source, to protein - it tends to kick up a fight.
