can anyone recomend a good calorie counting book with all the cals for each food in?

Have you tried any of the websites/ calorie counting websites?

I use one, and find it much quicker and easier than a book. Plus the values for branded stuff are a bit more accurate and up to date I think, there are always generic things on them too (mostly the fruit and veg ;) )

I'll post a few links if you want them?

yes please could you just post 1? i`m just gueesing at the minute and itd really help to check things over.

Food Focus - Permanent Weight Loss, was one that I liked, but don't use in favour of Perfect Diet Tracker | Award winning diet software for Windows, Mac OS X & Linux although you have to pay (about £20) for this one, it's a programme on your computer, rather than being entirely internet based. I just preferred the functionality of it really.

Or there's also Free Calorie Counter, Diet & Exercise Journal | MyFitnessPal.com which I think has an iphone app (if you happen to have one). I liked this one too, but found it a pain if what I wanted (e.g a branded item like i don't know a cereal bar) wasn't already entered or if I wanted a different serving size to the pre-set one - I just found the the other two easier to use really.

If you do a google search I'm sure there are loads more too, these are just the ones I've tried out :)

thanks you`ve been a big help, i wish i new how to thnk for posts.

No worries, hope you find one you like :)

You can't thank until you hit 50ish posts I think, then a little button will appear at the bottom of posts.
