giving myself a goal date

some days i find this harder than others and after consideration ive decided that i need to give myself a goal date to aim for and then refeed...not my holiday date but one slightly before so that i can refeed properly and get eating properly for the last few weeks before the gsr (great south run) in oct.

ive found already that this is helping me be a bit more positive and i that if im still a few pounds away from my ideal weight, thats fine as i hope the exercise and refeeding for a few weeks will make the last bit drop off..ya never know lol

thats means after my weigh in tomorrow (4th) ive got 11 more weeks to go..only lol n working it out that would mean id have to lose 4lb per week to get there...no so sure but hey gotta try!

Good for you Harriet:)
I think it will definitely help if you have a goal date - it will help you be more determined to get there. It's great that your trying to find ways to deal with the difficulty and proves you are committed - that's half the battle I think. if you can do that the rest should become routine and you will see it to the end successfully.
Stay positive and reap the rewards:)

Hi Harriet,

Some other members on here find it helpful to count down teh number of shakes that you have left to go rather than days. I tried this on my LT run this time and fins it feels like it moves faster than coudnting down days.
Having a goal does make it better and getting excited about ere-feeding makes you take it that much more seriously!
Give yourself enough time to refeed slowly and you'll find that if you stik to it you'll be successful!

Good Luck!

Hey harriet, we have similar goal weights and amount to lose. I have set myself a goal date as well, the end of august so I can start TTC. Some people dont like goals but I think it helps for others. How about joining the May Challenge, that's a good boost!
