SW EE Plan Help - Im doing something Wrong

Hi im new to this forum and need some help!

Started SW 3 weeks ago, first week gained half a pound ... this was to be expected joined on the Thursday was on a girls weekend away on the Friday, got onto plan once back and lost 3lbs the second week, that was ok, but this week I have stayed the same not budged a pound!

I dont know what im doing wrong ... my friend who is a week ahead of me has lost, 5lbs, 1.5lbs, 2lbs and this week another 2lbs.

In a typical day im having:-

Breakfast:-A choice is milk with
28g of Special K Sustain as my B choice
snacking on fruit
Lunch:- egg, bacon, beans, mushrooms, toms
More fruit
Evening Meal:- Meat of some sort, with potatoes, and salad
More fruit, maybe a mullerlight
Most days I dont have any syns, if I do its only a slice of wholemeal bread at lunchtime at 4.5 syns.

Can anyone see anything obvious that is wrong with this?

Thanks

You probably need to have Syns. You should at the very least be having 5 a day but you should ba having between 5 and 15. Youre not really doing yourself any favours not having any

Thanks for your response, have looked at the books again and taken some inspiration from another users food diary to try and help me out and have also upped my syns. I Weigh again on Thursday will update with my progress hopefully it will be a better outcome this week.

1Lb Lost

Having done everything I was told, kept a food diary and upped my syns, still only managed to drop 1lb this week. Now suggestion is I try and have red days. Struggling to get my head around red days though.

Any help would be appreciated ... would love a big loss next week if possible.

Wobbles, how much weight have you got to lose? If you don't have much, that could be why your losses are slow?

Hi Pinksparklybirdy lost another 1lb this week, when I started I had just over a stone to lose, but need to do this in time for a wedding in Sept (which at 1lb a week I might just be able to manage to achieve althrough, thats not leaving me any room for being static at anytime).

I had a long chat with my group leader this evening and she told me not to be so hard on myself, 1lb a week was a good weight loss and as you have suggested I dont have very much to lose. She also suggested that I need to be eating more of the Veg (not keen on veg, in fact what I will eat of them is very limited which is why I am unable to Green days.

My *week she thinks could also be causing me problems as this is 2 weeks over due! Lol just love being a woman sometimes!

Im still trying to get my head around Red days to see if giving them a go would boost my weight loss.

Hi Wobbles

I'm not a great veg eater either - I tend to just have pre-prepped stir fry veg as it's pretty easy to prep and doesn't take a lot of eating. I have found bags of Frozen Raspberries very helpful - for some reason they are cheaper than fresh, and I love them, so will quite happily much on those.

Good luck with your weight loss, I'm sure it's just coming off slowly as you only have a wee bit to lose.

Thanks pinksparklybirdy, appreciate the encouragement, nice to know also im not the only person who dont like Veg! Will keep plugging on, have to get into my dress for wedding.

Hi Jellybaby1, I dont go to the gym or anything that strenuous, I line dance once a week for 3-4 hours. The week I stayed the same I had taken our puppy out walking a couple of nights, and had been on the Wii Fit for an hour every night! Staying the same kinda put me off exercising but im planning on getting the Wii Fit out again tonight and im talking our puppy out again for a walk.

I know we don't count calories on SW, but when I looked at your day's food it only totals up to around 1,000 calories. It's not enough & your body may have started to go into starvation mode & cling on to every calorie you consume. You really need to have and enjoy your syns, as others have said.

As you don't have much to lose, 1lb a week is excellent! Think of it as 2 packs of large sausages - that's quite a bit really :)

Hi Jan, thanks for working that out, is that what I have been having a day, its seems like a hell of a lot more, I feel like im constantly eating. I used to do SW years ago but it didnt work for me not liking veg was a real down fall. I swapped and went to WW, but was constantly hungry. I can safely say I have not yet been hungry on the SW EE Plan.

I prefer your comparison of 2 packs of large sausages more than my friends ... her suggestion was to think of it as losing a pack of lard a week.

I have upped my syns im now having at minimum 10 syns a day and I am making sure I enjoy all of them.

Im really grateful for all the advice and support this forum has given, and im trying out a lot of the receipies that i have found on here. Going to try my hand at SW Quiche, it looks so yummy.

Only Half a Pound this week!

:cry:Only lost half a pound this week, looks like its getting less and less, hope I make my target by Sept.

Yippee Ki Yay!

Lost 3 an a half pounds this week, yay well pleased with my little self. Not sure what I have done that was different but whatever it was its worked.

Thanks!

Awww thanks for the congrats ladies, much appreciated. Very pleased with my weight loss this week. I havent said previously but I joined SW to encourage my 18 year old son to lose weight he has has 1st 7lbs in 6 weeks, he still has about 2-3 stone to go but he is doing fantastic and im so proud of him.

Hoping for a good weight loss again this week for both of us, will report back after weighin Thursday.

I also have an 18 year old son doing SW with me. He's doing similar to your son too - he's lost almost 2 stone in 15 weeks & he also has another 2-3 stone to lose. I think it's hard for them at their age - his friends seem to tuck into pizza, chips & beer & he's the only weighty one. Same at home - him & I are the only overweight ones yet his 15 yr old sister (5'6" & a size 6 clothes) eats more than him!

Wow Jan thats a great weight loss for your son. Must be something to do with girls! I also have a daughter 17 eats non stop remains a size 8. I have always had to watch what I eat as has my husband. Your right its so hard for them watching their mates tuck into all the takeaways and beers an not put on a pound. This is the first time my son has been this focused previously its been me pushing him to do it but this time hes doing it for himself so hopefully he will get to his goal.

Good luck to your son I hope he reaches his goals.

Stayed the Same!

Oh dear no loss this week for me, stayed the same, but at least its not a gain! My son lost another 2.5lbs this week, another 4lbs to go and he has done 2 stone in 8 or 9 weeks, very proud of him.
