Hello everyone,

I have just registered with this forum :)
I am 30, female, from the UK. I have tried to lose weight for ages now. I've been counting calories for the last year and did not lose a bit of weight. Not a single pound! I have had assistance by a doctor, my a diet coach, but nothing has helped. When I first started my diet I lost 2 stone (24 pound) in no time and then it stopped. And the scales have not moved ever since. I hope I can find some advice and motivation here.

If you have any questions on my person, please ask! :D

Hi and welcome to the forum. Have you tried any other types of diets other than calorie counting?

Well, I have tried Slim in your Sleep but this did not work for me either. It's a diet that does not really go well with a busy lifestyle such as mine. I've been reading into The Alternate Day Diet but I am afaif of binge-eating!
 
I've not tried that one. I've done calorie counting in the past & got on ok with it. Currently doing Slimming World as it's great for me - there's always something I can eat so I'm never hungry :)
 
I think there's a diet for everyone. It seems calorie counting is just not for me. I am happy it worked for you though!
 
Hi and welcome. What about something like weightwatchers or slimming world? Perhaps you need a class?

Hi and welcome to the forum, congratulations on losing 2 stone and keeping it off, I also think you should try another diet, give a new diet ago and see what happens.
 
I am not a class type of person. I cannot cope with the pressure of weigh-ins with different people and all their success stories. I've been to a WW meeting with a friend before and I hated it. Maybe I am too neurotic for that kind of thing - ha ha! I have had a good look through this forum and all your stories and advice really motivate me. It's a great forum, I am glad I have found it :)
 
Hi. Welcome. Congrats on your 2 stone weight loss. I also did cal counting and totally failed. I am doing weight watchers now and love it. If you didn't want to attend meetings you could always do it at home.x
