i joined sw three weeks ago after doin ww for a long time. ww does work but i only had half a stone to go and found i was always starving which led to be falling off the wagon. As a result I now have 12 pounds to lose so ive started a afresh. just wondering if anyone else has swapped and how people have got on. x:)

I was following a very low calorie diet and moved across to slimming world as my weightloss had more or less stopped. I had a bit of a wobbly start with SW which it turns out was due to not eating enough! Now things are moving along smoothly I have lost 15lbs since the end of March and I am now on my last stone. I know you will be fine, you just have to learn to trust the plan!

There are always people on here going from SW to WW and WW to SW lol Its very common.

Just remember SW is a totally different kettle of fish to WW and youll need to get all your WW thoughts out your head. Dont start pointing things or youll have fit lol

Best of luck on SW

Quite simply if you are feeling hungry you are not eating enough - SW is totally different to WW (I know, I lost 3st on WW and 2st on SW) - they are both great plans, just different approaches!

On SW, fill yourself up with lots and lots of free foods. Use these as your 'main' foods when planning a meal. Then add your a and b choices, a few syns and you should be back on the right track again :D

Ive just moved over and really like it, had a small gain today after my first week but im remaining postive

i am wondering whether ww or sw is better? i lost 2 stone on ww when i was 16 but maybe as i didnt drink think thats why it was easier!??! lol x

I think it depends what you want from it....

I wanted ease, being able to eat when i wanted and not counting/weighting everything....SW is for me.

Theyre both great, it totally depends on whats important and what diet will suit you best. Theres not a 'better' one its purely down to the individual. For every person who says SW is best youll find someone who says WW is and vice versa.

You can incorporate drinks into both plans ;)

This thread from a couple of months ago is probably the best/balanced one Ive seen, too often the whole WW v SW debate ends up as one side slating the other which isnt helpful but this one was really even :) http://www.minimins.com/weight-watchers/141306-ww-vs-sw.html
