So thats 154 ponits for the week,
so can I just make sure I have 154 points for the whole week if you get me?
Say 15 one day 25 another 20 another 30 another ect
Thanks x

Sorry just found this on another post a ww gal posted, so I guess thats a yes then, as long as you use the lot over the week, its doesnt matter how many a day.

**Even tho the guidance says no more than 4 saved points a day, I remember a leader telling me as long as at the end of the week your points balanced then it didn't really matter how many you used on a daily basis..this was in response to someone working night shifts.**

Not sure it would be advisable to do it too often but to work that way once in a while would probably be ok

I dont like this idea too much. your stomach is supposed to be shrinking as well so to have more points 1 day and hardly any the next is a bit defeatist in my opinion! I have been shot on here for this view before though because some people like it.

I agree that it's not an ideal way to manage points as we're supposed to be 're-educating' ourselves to healthier eating habits and all that jazz. But on the other hand I am often quite naughty and save points during the week to splurge a little bit at the weekends. I guess somedays I feel more able to be restrained than others?

I guess it's whatever works for you - if this is how you choose to manage your points then you just have to be careful that you're not having save days and then huge binge days because that's not really healthy eating. There's a fine line between 'planning for treats' and 'erratic eating'!

There is and its that 4 points a day :) I try and save 2 points per day for a treat at the weekend but its not as if im having 15 points 1 day and 29 points another!

You wont get shot down on here by me ;) I totally agree I hate the Wendy plan with a passion but am generally outnumbered which is why I said once in a while might be ok.

I think its totally irresponsible for a WW leader to say this is an ok method for using your points and I cant imagine WW would be too happy knowing this advice was being given.

i would have thought it would affect a weigh in to for example have 5 points one day but have a binge the next? havent tried to be honest.

Yes, it was my leader who said it :D

And I remember seeing it once in the WW magazine, in the 'problem page' bit. Especially for someone who works nights and might not be able to work their points in the conventional way, it's good. I'm not sure about the Wendie plan, as 15 seems very low for a day but I also think it's about listening to your body, your hunger cues and learning to work with that. If you genuinely only feel hungry for 18 pts one day but more the next, I don't see the problem. I think it's more of a problem if you're starving yourself and going hungry.

I do think you should eat all your points in the week but I like to use more at the weekend and WW says that's fine :)

HOWEVER I do think it's worth remembering that WW says never to go under 14 or over 40pts for day for good health xo

Tbh its more to do with me going at at weekends and drinking, not bingeing, tho they do say thats binge drinking tho dont they, tho it wasnt called that in the 80s or 90s :p

My 2 best friends are both very slim, and really don't thinka bout what they eat. They both, without fail, regularly alternate eatalot days with notsohungry days. Completely without thinking. They'll go out for a meal one day, be not so hungry another, have pizza and a bottle of wine on a saturday, breakfast, and a roast dinner on a sunday, have days where they eat very little, and days when they stuff their faces. And I can honestly say, and this is where I wish I could be like them, they don't hink about it. They think, 'am I hungry, do I fancy that', they do not think, 'i'd better force some food down, i've only had x points or calories', they do not think, 'if i have this now, i'll have to starve tomorrow'. It just so happens, by listening to their bodies, it balances out. They certainly do not eat the same amount of calories or points each day. It varies greatly.

But the difference is they're not trying to lose weight and change their eating habits, I'm sure when we get to goal and are maintaining then we can do things like that. But the way I see it is at the moment I'm on a diet. I need to follow WW to loose weight and that means following the diet the way it's been structured. And the way WW say is healthiest is to regulate your food intake.

I never understand why people say they're following a particular diet then want to adapt and tweak it. IMO if WW felt the Wendy plan or using your points weekly was a good healthy way to lose weight they'd promote them. They don't.

A leader definitely told my old group that so apologies if people feel it is incorrect/bad advice but as it was a WW leader who said it, I assumed it was true.

I do think it's what works best for you, I couldn't do it myself (Wendy plan)but it's good to learn to listen to your hunger cues.

Whether you eat all your points in a day or less one day, more the next, the fact is you are still regulating your food intake, ergo you will lose weight. Just checked my WW book there and it says it's actually no less than 16 per day and no more than 40, I think if you keep that in mind (plus listening to your hunger cues) you will be ok :)

My WW leader said last week that they had now removed the rule that said 4 points was the most that you could carry over.

No mention of this at my meeting. I've always stuck to the dont save more than 4 points a day if I am saving for anything and use them up in the week.

For me personally I need the structure of following ww as the books say. If I could do it on my own I wouldnt be this big. I have had years of faulty eating starving one day overeating the next, this suits me better and I am learning healthy ways. But each to their own

As much as you want really. I sat through the new members talk at the end of the meeting last week as it was my first week (even though I knew it all from doing it before) and she said that they used to say to carry over a maximum of 4 points but now you can save however many you want.

I'm still sticking with 4 max.

Yes, she said just carry them for the week.
