AN UPDATE ON MY SON....

Donnie46

Slow but sure....
As some of you will know, my son was involved in a serious car accident in Australia in January this year, which unfortunately resulted in him losing his lower right leg.

I would just like to say that he is doing wonderfully, and he will finally be arriving home in England on June 4th, he will be going into hospital for a while, but then he will be coming home.

I haven't seen him since November 2007, so I am so looking forward to seeing him.

I'd like to thank everyone for their good wishes, kind thought's, prayers, PM's and e mails, while all this has been happening, I appreciate it so much, thanking you all from the bottom of my heart.

MODERATOR'S - My apologises, this should have gone into the Off Topic Section, could you transfer it please, thanking you.

Unfortuately due to illness I couldn't travel to Australia to see him, but my DH spent a month over in Perth with him, and I have been speaking to him every day, but it's not the same as a hug.....

Thank you.

it's not :( .... totally not same but my son had meningitis and was in isolation room.. he was only 1.. and i couldn't go near him and it so hard.. i just wanted to cuddle him soo bad... so in that sence i really feel for you not being able to do that.. just remember let go when you get that hug ;)

I do hope your son made a full recovery, your arms must have been itching to hold him, I have 5 months worth of hugs to let go when I see him....and quite a few tears as well I'm sure.
