Hi All,

I just joined today and still trying to find my way around.

My weight's been steadily creeping up since i had my son nearly 3 years ago and I think I've tried every diet going with not much sucess.

Getting married in 18 months so decided to finally do something about it.

Started Atkins 2 weeks ago and desperately need some support to keep me on track.

Wish me luck!!:D

Hi, I'm new to this board to. Haven't really read much about the Atkins diet. I find that exercising and eating healthy is the best way to lose weight, just because you don't see it as a diet and then it's not so hard to stay on track.
I have been trying to lose weight for years and until recently just started to exercise for 30 or 60 minutes a day, to me it doesn't feel like I am on a diet and the exercise and eating right has just become part of my daily routine.
I will be interested in looking into the Atkins diet to see what it's all about. If you find this diet the best for you then I really wish you luck and hope you get to your goal :)

Hi thanks for the replies,

Yes thanks, Irene I have had a little browse in the Atkins section and sure I will become a regular visitor there. I've already picked up some new recipes that I cant wait to try might stop me getting bored with eating the same things. xx

Thanks for the post nbgal, it's really good to talk to people who have struggled with weight like I have. I'm pleased that healthy eating works for you, you seem to have done really well on it. I just don't seem to have the willpower to stick to it and I find I cheat all the time. A lot of people struggle with Atkins because it's pretty strict but i find that works for me because I know what i cant eat and i cant talk myself into cheating cos if you have something your not supposed to you tend to gain weight very quickly and destroy all your hard work. I lost two stone on it last year but gave up too quickly and put most of it back on.:sigh:

Heres hoping we both reach our goals xx
