hey everyone

well i had been doin sw for ages on and off and about 9 weeks ago i got a bit bored n decided to change to ww..now i must say i find ww very good and liked the change but now i am so fed up countin points and i am beginnin to get soooo hungry!im thinkin of switchin back to sw and just doin it myself from home..do u think this is a good idea? at least im never hungry on sw!xxx

I have recently changed over and its the best thing i have done tbh! ww is a good plan but i got sick of counting points and weighing every morsel that passed my mouth!

I just just had steak au poivre and a massive jacket potato with cheese and it was only 1.5 syns!

its depends what fits your life style best, i hated having to count fruit! was sillly lol

yep thats exactly wats doin my head in!!i really miss being able to eat loads potatoes!do u do it urself or go to class?do u eat all ur syns?xx

Lots of people have moved from SW to WW and lots from WW to SW its a case of finding out what suits you best. If you have the books etc you can easily do it from home :)

It's all about what's best for you and which one out of WW/SW will best fit into your lifestyle.

I haven't done WW but I do know it's all about using points wisely and opting for better choices. My friend is doing WW and has already lost a stone in a few weeks but I can't help thinking she's going about it in the wrong way. We were going out for bank holiday and she came round my house first for a couple of drinks. I'd been sensible so had some syns for a few drinks (I'm not a massive drinker) and she had brought a load of vodka. I asked her if she had enough points for it and she said "Do you know what I've eaten today so I could drink this tonight? 2 apples!"

It's definitely achieveable to do SW from home - this is what I do and I'm almost there. Good luck in what you decide to do xxx

In the past I have lost weight successfully with both WW and SW, but personally I prefer SW, much easier for me to do and I never feel hungry. WW is great but needs much more thinking about and weighing stuff. Also with WW once you have had your points that is it for the day, with SW if you are hungry you can still have some of your freefood.
Mind you I am going away this weekend, not sure I have enough syns LOL

thanks for all the replies! yeah i really think sw is better for me, both plans are great but im never hungry with sw plus i have al the books maybe jus need to buy a new food directory!i think from mon il be swtichin back to sw as im out for tea quite bit this week as i lost my nanny last wed :( and tryin to keeop occupied!

do any of u that do it from home weigh on a certain day?do u all eat 15 syns a day?

def think its best option for me :) much easier for lunches etc..

oh my god 2 apples that mental i cud never starve myself!

oh nicks dont worry go ahead and enjoy urself thats good thing with sw u can flexi syn:)xxx

I have been to a class and i have done it from home.

yeah i eat all of my syns! variety is the spice of life! i use them in all sort of different ways. today i was unprepared

as you will see from my diary that i used them for sauces and for my breakfast and lunch as didnt have a sw friendly munch in until i went shopping tonight

i use mine over the week tho so i use 105 a week instead of 15 a day but i have atleast 5 a day

yep think thats what i will do as some days i need more than 15 a day lol and some days less lol..do u find u still lose weight usin them throughout the week?as i once remember a consultant telln me that u cudnt save syns and if u didnt use 15 in one day u wud lose them|?didnt make sense to me lol xx

I made the change from WW to SW. I originally lost 3st a few years back on WW but when I started to do it again last summer (after putting it back on), I lost about 2lbs in 8 weeks sticking to it rigidly. My housemate suggested SW and now I definatly wouldn't go back.
I was one of those people who'd spend 3.5points on a Cream Egg instead of 7 apples! Looking back I didn't like the fact that you had to point for fruit and pots etc. SW is more of a lifestyle change I think.

This is my 2nd day on SW after only ever having done weightwatchers....im finding it ok. Its nice to be able to eat and not count things, but im my head i just cant see how i can lose with the amount im eating compared to the amount i used to eat on WW.
How can it work if i am consuming more calories now? Even if they are spent on fruit etc
Maybe my portions are too big. I guess i will see on weight day.

This thread is very helpful! I did WW a couple of years ago and lost about a stone & half, but now I'm heavier than ever. Been thinking about starting SW online after hearing so many people say how much better it is than WW. I never really understood the points so did the core plan.. Does anyone do SW online and do you think it's worth it? Works out at about a fiver a week which I would expect to pay for a class anyway.

sorry double posted

im exactly the same id rather spend points on rubbish than fruit lol but ur right its def a lifestyle change, knowin i can eat as much fruit salad etc makes me want to eat it..

katie im not sure wat way sw works in relation to calories but i no for fact it works, the more u eat (free food) the more u lose!sounds mad but thats 100% true!xxx

I don't think it's a case of it's much better than WW it's totally different and it's a case of finding out what suits you best. For every person who swaps from WW to SW you'll find someone else going in the opposite direction
