My simple tips after plateau.

I've lost probably 7 stone in 4 years since leaving college by going to the gym and healthyish eating. However my vice is alcohol as I play rugby and its the obvious thing to do after games! etc..

After losing the bulk of my weight i found for about 4-5 months i was staying at around 87-87.5kg without really doing much. This was during a period of gym during the week followed by a saturday boozing session after a game..

I Set myself a challenge which was to not consume alcohol for a month before our tour to croatia and the results speak for itself!

In 3 weeks and 1 day, including the following diet i have gone from 87.5kg to 84.5.kg...

1. no alcohol :wave_cry:
2. No sugar products, aka sweets, chocolate, cereal bars, fruit juices etc.
3. no sweetener products, including pepsi max, diet coke, coke zero etc.
4. no wheat or bread products, potatoes or mushrooms.

Thats it..

So for those who feel they have flat lined a bit give that a try, in terms of meals I've been eating porridge with water or egg products for breakfast, with a large helping of salad, prawns and cheese for lunch, often with something similar for dinner.

The biggest thing I've learnt in my recent research is that your body only absorbs fat when insulin is present [carbs], so if your eating fats and carbs, the fat will be absorbed. If you limit yourself to a fat only meal, and a carb only meal during the day. Products such as Diet Coke and Pepsi max also contain the sweeteners which do you no help in losing weight..

I hope this sort of makes sense!
