Syns calculation

Hi there,

Does anyone know how the syn value of foods is calculated? I don't go to the classes as I can't afford it so I don't have access to the syns online thing.

Cheers!

The general rule is 20 cals = 1 syn, but this isn't accurate all of the time. Minimins is here to help - if you have any syn queries just post them in the syns section and we'll try to help :)

The 20 cals for 1 syn is for foods without a free food allowance - eg crisps, choc, alcohol etc.

If a food has a free food allowance, eg it contains pasta, chicken or fish then it will be different.

Always best to post specific requests in the Syn Value sub forum and someone will check for you.

thanks!

Thanks for your help :=) I'm actually waiting for the slimming world 2010 food book thing so hopefully that'll come in very handy too!
