One step forward, two steps back. Hi, I'm Fray!

Hi all!

I started Slimming World in October 2009. I lost a stone in my first two weeks (10lb the first week)! Yay me.

However, I gave up going to classes due to work commitments and the fact the classes were over an hour and a half long and it was basically going around the circle reading out everyone's weight loss. It might work for some to go to group but I was just bored and paying so much money, I felt I could do it by myself for cheaper. I had the basic knowledge of the diet so I thought I was good to go.

So, I stopped going. I was 1 stone and 3lb lighter when I quit classes. THEN, my birthday happened and I couldn't get back on track after my blow out. THEN, Christmas happened. THEN, I got ill and had to give up working (unexplained vertigo so I can barely leave the house at the moment). THEN, Easter happened.

I know I'm making excuses but I'm so far off the rails I'm in a ditch.

My other half proposed on NYE 2009. We're getting married in August so I want to do this so badly now. However, I get very little support from him as he prefers that I eat what I want. He is one of those "freaky eaters"...he only eats cheese, bread, pasta, chocolate, cakes and meat. NO fruit. NO veg. Everything is covered in cheese sauce and grated cheese. Or with tonnes of bread.

I am just sat here getting exponentially fatter...the biggest I have ever been.

So, here I am. Help!!

Hi Irene,

Thanks for the welcome! I'm doing it alone now. The classes, sadly, just weren't for me. Of course that could've just been my particular consultant! I'll definitely be hanging out in the SW section right after I decide what to have for breakfast!
