I am in work at the moment doing a late shift, there are no calls, zero, zilch, nada.

There is also a vending machine upstairs that is missing a Snickers. :p :mad:

Damn Snickers. Now I have to have 5 syns a day til Wednesday!
 
I am flexi synning it ha ha! It gives me 15 syns for the remainder of the week. I'll share them out equally... probably not have any Wednesday so I can have my beef mushrooms and white rice or my Wagamamas.

Stupid Snicker! Grr. It was calling me! it was telling me it was the answer to all my boredom. Then it was gone as quickly as it came. Grump grump!
 
not long ago I tried to cut my syns allowance to make up for naughtiness and for me personally it does not work. The sense fo restriction lead me to want more psychological so I would just put a line under it ad contine like normal!

How exactly does flexi synning work? Is it just where you go over one day and then be good for the rest of the week to stay under the 105 syn mark?

Sorry to sound dull but I have only been doing this 6 days! LOL
 
I start the week with 105 syns. I count down, aiming for no fewer than 5 per day. If I go over, I still have my 5 per day til the end of the week. I don't go over too often, when I do, it's for a reason, like a big night out or something.

Like Ilovelife says, if I go over one night massively then start having no syns at all the rest of the week, it's too pressured. So in that situation, I aim for 5 per day and don't beat myself up if I gain because I had FUN gaining.

That way I find I don't just eat for no reason (apart from today when I'm on a 3pm-11pm shift and I've had 3 calls all day because lets face it, who cares about buying broadband on a sunday and the Snickers bar in the vending machine is just staring at me...)

Flexi syn is the opposite to that. It is where you know you have a special day coming up like a birthday,wedding etc and decide how many syns you will need e.g 50 You begin counting your syns until you reach that amount then stop. the next day and the days after, you go back on plan and enjoy your 5 - 15 syns as before

Rude of them to put a chocolatey filled vending machine in such close proximity to you!

Boredom eating is a huge vice of mine. Stupid habit but so tasty for the like 3 microseconds that it lasts.

Had a mega bad food week involving REAL kfc, oreo milkshake and two blueberry muffins filled with tasty jammy goodness among other things oops!

So trying to get back on track but discovered that when i don't boredom eat I boredom shop instead which is a more expensive habit. Though it is much fun and i did purchase two AMAZING dresses from ebay today!

One was a bargain £5.50 and covered in cute little hearts yay! The other one was less of a bargain but I got a little carried away with the last minute bidding, it was however covered in swallows and therefore matches the tattoo on my leg so i need it - FACT!

Hope the rest of your shift goes in rapid chick.

I think you ought to sell "narrowband" not "broadband" as that is the way you are hopefully heading. As for the snicker. . . hope it was yummy xxxx
 
Hehe thanks guys, the Snickle was yummy, I do have a peanut-fail when it comes to chocolatey treats!

No more Snickle and back on the narrowband from now til Weigh In! :D

Thank you Rosie :) But do you have to make up those 50 syns or do you in effect 'write them off'? Or would you have saved them up before?

You finish the day and finish thinking about those extra syns> there is no saving them up or paying back. that is the beauty of flexi synning but it must only be done on the odd special occasion not just because you fancy a take away x

Thank you all for all your help! I really do appreciate it! I don't feel bad now about the 22 syn takeaway I had Friday night for my anniversary! :) Been ultra good all week so even 1lb loss would be great :)
 
Yeah, the point of flexi synning if that it's planned in advance so you stay in control of your eating and don't have to feel guilt afterwards. It's not something you can do after the fact, eg have a binge and then decide it call it flexi synning. That defeats the purpose because you clearly weren't in control if you were binging.
 
Mm snickers.. my old friend. Vixxster you sound in control so I wouldn't worry too much about it, you have a syns plan so that's good it's not like you went completely off track and gave up! We all have weak moments like these, it's all about moving on and staying on plan.
