Hey!!
I restarted last month, but, have been doing a dreadful job of it, but, am on 100% now - you just need to wait until it feels right, I suppose!
Anyway, while I am two stone heavier than my goal weight (& probably another stone heavier than I'd ideally be!) I have something to share with you - one of my friends is a designer & was showing her collection in London Alternative Fashion Week earlier this week & she asked me to model (she believes in fashion for everyone, haha). So, I walked a catwalk!! Madness!! The catwalk itself was terrifying, but, the day was so much fun...when I'm not a student I'm a photographer, so, it was a lot of fun seeing what it's like having my hair & make-up done for me rather than hovering around capturing the action.
There's a little video here of my catwalk debut - YouTube - Alternative Fashion Week 2010 - Wednesday 21st April - I'm about 6 minutes in - wearing the waistcoat & blue trousers (which did my wobbly thighs & tummy absolutely no favours - nor did the fact I was wearing someone elses bra that was too small...).
Even though I'm not where I want to be & the sight of my thighs in that video make me want to run screaming, the three stone that I have kept off really has changed my life - I'd have never been asked to do that, never mind been in a mindset to agree to do it, at my previous weight. We just have so many more opportunities when we lose weight - or at least, are more open to them!
Hope everyone is doing well! I'm going to get to know you guys properly now because I'll be hanging around for a while ;-)
