Salmon fishcakes?

Can you use tuna instead of salmon?
As I cannot seem to get all the bones out of the salmon :(
Also when are they freezable? after they are cooked, or before?
Kind regards,
Sarah

No reason why not. Or try crabmeat.

Ty for the replies :)
The salmon fishcakes turned out ok in the end, although next time I think I'll use a salmon fillet rather than tinned.
Thanks again,
Sarah :D

Salmon bones are really soft in the tins so you can just mix them in. Must admit I always pull the big backboney one out but my mother will eat it if she sees me doing it! The bones are seemingly really good for you too

Yes, the bones are good for you - a good source of calcium. But I remember insisting that my mother let me prepare the tinned salmon if we were having salmon sandwiches for tea, because I couldn't trust her to take all the bones out and I just couldn't stand them!
