Going to a BBQ at the weekend

Hiya, i'm off to a BBQ at the weekend. And I struggerling for whatt to take with me.

Normally I would just take my quorn sasuages and burgers, but if i'm honest i'm getting fed up of them.

I was going to order from Joe's but can't really afford the minimum order.

Has anyone got any low syn sasuage and burger's ?

WW sausages are 0.5 syns each and i think the tesco lighter choice burgers are 2.5 syns each

you can take diarylea light cheese slices, you can have 2 as a HeA (I have one on a burger and one on a sausage! mmmmm!) and what about taking some bacon? so you can have bacon cheese burgers! YUMMY!

you could also make some SW chips at home and take them with you, to re-heat?

you could take some chicken drumsticks too, eat them (Without the skin)

and take some wholemeal small buns, so you can haev one for your HeB! you won't feel like you're missing out at all!

Are chicken drumsticks free ?

Why don't you make up some kebabs with chicken and colourful veggies?
Also the Tesco light choice cumberland sausages are only 1syn each and they're gorgeous - actually taste like real sausages!

Or make up some Mexican Batchelors rice and let it cool - makes a lovely rice salad

Don't know whether I want to share this secret, as once you have tried the following, Tesco will run out of stock ;-)

Have had two BBQ's over the last weekend and included two old BBQ fav's (pre SW life!) from Tesco's Barbeque Frozen range. The sweet chilli prawns are free on EE and Original and taste absolutely fab (see below). The Sweet Chilli Chicken Skewers have a low syn too and are just as nice. Just don’t overcook them!.

Great price too at £2 a box.

Make syn free burgers from turkey mince and like someone else said, take Tesco wholemeal buns - they BBQ really well!

I made a lovely pasta salad for our bbq on Saturday, just mixed with peppers, courgette, cherry tomatoes, spring onions etc with a balsamic dressing

Me and a women at work have pulled together to order some. Think I will take some chips and a rice salad too.
