over 62 miles!!

Hi all,

I have perhaps very foolishly agreed to take part in the 'Nightrider' on 19th June. It is a bike ride which starts and finishes at Crystal Palace, and goes all around London on a 100km course. Which is over 62 miles in English!!

January last year I was a whopping 24st 13lb, and mainly with a lot of help from Slimming World and all my friends on Minimins I have gotten down to just over 17 stone already. I still have a few stone to go of course, but I am very proud of my achievements so far.

Anyway, enough of the bragging, lol. I decided I needed a challenge, and this seemed to tick all the boxes.

Until today the furthest I had ever ridden was a one-off 17 mile trip, but today I managed to ride 25.7 miles. I was totally shattered at the end of it. And heartbroken to realise that I would have to do that ride TWICE, and then ADD another ten miles and a bit to do the same distance expected of me on the Nightrider.

I definitely need to do more training that is for sure.

I am riding on behalf of the Kent Air Ambulance Trust, and hoping I don't need to call on them midway around the route!!

Anyway, if anyone has a pound or two sitting about looking like it needs a good home, please consider sponsoring me for the ride. Every penny counts and is gratefully received.

Thanks in advance ♥♥

wow well done hun. you can do it hun. you have 9 weeks to train and if you don't make it its ok you tried alot of us including me wouldn't able to do what you do now. so well done hun
and good luck

Well done on your weight loss and good luck on the ride, I second the comment about a padded saddle!!!

I remember poor old Fern Britton saying how much her bum hurt when she did her charity bike ride! Ouch!!!!

I'm through the £400 mark now, thanks for your generosity everyone who has sponsored me :)

And anyone who hasn't, and has a pound or two lying about, please do!! I am collecting for the Kent Air Ambulance Trust who rely entirely on charity to continue operating. A great cause, and hopefully one I will never need to call on.

And even if you don't live in Kent, you may rely on them one day when you are visiting!!

Oh, I'm clutching at straws there, fair enough hehe

Thanks ♥
