Bit of advice needed

Hello my lovelies,

I'm not currently on CD, but I have had success with it in the past and I'm really toying with the idea of going back to it.

My main worry is if I'm going to need an extra sachet a day due to my job, and if I should chance it on three at first, and risk passing out at work, or just take four all along and accept that I might not lose weight as quickly as I might on three... Or could I just have an extra one when I'm working - would that mess everything up?

I've not really explained myself have I?

I work as a psychiatric nursing assistant, and I'm on my feet for about 10 hours out of an 11.5hour shift, approx 16 shifts a month. It's a very physically demanding job, restraining a 20stone psychotic man is no easy task I can tell you that!

So advice is greatly appreciated :D

Like you said, try it and see how it goes. Take an extra shake with you and if you feel you need it then have it. I'm male so I have four shakes anyway and my losses are still good. We're surviving on so little calories I don't think one extra shake would make that much of a difference. Also I've had days where I've been non stop with my job, and days when I've had a rugby game (so I know what you mean about restraining 20stone men!) so I spaced my shakes out and I used one of the shakes as an energy boost, kept on the water and I felt fine. Hope this helps!

Thanks Omega :)

I think I've just worked myself up about it because I don't want to put my co-workers or myself in a potentially dangerous situation if I were to pass out during a restraint!

That's understandable! Take a tetra with you, that's what I do. I know everyone is different but I can honestly say I've never had a day where I've felt faint or anything like that, and I don't usually have my last shake until right at the end of the day.

I understand your worries orange. Up until recently i was a carer for elderly and dementia patients. I worked 12 hour shifts and only had 3 shakes a day. 1 first thing, 1 on lunch break or any other spare 5 mins then my usual evening one around 9pm when i got home. It is possible and like Omega said make sure you keep up the water. Youll find a way that suits you though :)

You are 5'7" anyway, so only one inch away from 4 packs anyhow. I would have the 4th.

I have 4 packs a day and I'm 5'7.5" :) Have a look at my weight loss and see if it suits you? I'm not the fastest loser, but I'm also relatively happy with the weight I've lost.

I think the important thing with CD is to find a way of sticking to it that makes it bearable for you. An extra pack is only 138 calories and to be honest isn't really going to affect your weight, however, falling off the wagon (or falling over at work) will REALLY affect your weight and make the diet impossible to stick to.

Did that make sense? Good Luck xx
