Help -general question about RC diets

Hi all

I have been following RC for almost 20 years and have slowly gained over the past 2 years and have been struggling to lose the weight with her new diets, in that they include snacking and sweet potatoes (yuk). Do you think I could loose weight if I took some of my favourite RC recipes from her older books and counted my calories for 1200 or do you think I would be better off using the old Hip and Thigh diet which I followed very successfully for some years. The only reason why I gained the weight now is because I have a swelling allergy and this seemed to switch the light on for the wrong foods (butter, crips and cheese), also trying and giving up quite quickly the numerous new diets RC has had over the last 5 years, or do you think it would be best to pick one of the new diets say GI Jeans, and do not snack and avoid anything with sweet potatoe.

Long rant - sorry

April:rolleyes:

sorry cant help you with the other diets she has done as i have only tried the inch loss, but as for sweet potatoes i dont like them either so i just have normal potato instead

I have done the hip& thigh last time round & doing the inch loss now havent done gijeans etc so far having better losses oninch lossthan i di d with h&t there is some slight differences als o can have some protein meals to just gi,think best to do what works best for u ifhas worked in the past like u say cut these things out that dont agree with you &try low calsnacks sorry cant be more help as only amonthin 4 me

I can't stick to a set diet sheet as I'm too fussy so I've always played about with them. I think the old RC books are based on sensible eating so you can't go far wrong with them even if she does have newer stuff out. Good luck.

i think as long as you stick to the less than 5% fat rule, and count your calories you shouldn't worry too much.
Best of luck

RC meals in her diet can be subsituted and swapped around, the menu plans are there as guidelines/suggestions only but as long as you stay within the 5% fat rule and stick to the calories you'll be ok.

I successfully lost 6 st on GI Jeans, lost 1 stone & then maintained for over a year on GI Hip & Thigh and lost the last 5lbs and got to goal on Amazing Inch Loss ... all good diets. Amazing Inch Loss has very good weight losses for first month.

I don't think you could go wrong no matter which diet you choose as long as you stick to the diet.

Good luck
