Hello everyone,

I am new on here. i joined tonight and look forward to getting to know you all and chatting to you. I also can't wait to get lots of useful advice and support from you all and hope i can maybe offer some in return. I have severe PCO;s and a Bicornuate uterus and have been ttc for 18 mths. I did do weight watchers last year and managed with a struggle to shitf 2 stone but then it stayed at that and started creeping back on even though i was sticking to it, so need less to say i got very disheartned and gave up going. I now want to really achieve it this time as i think i am going to need ivf so i want to be able to be offered it without them sending me away because of my weight!!

Thanks for reading and I look forward to your replies xx

Hi Butterfly - I sympathise, I'm worried about the BMI limit for IVF too. I'm still hoping it won't be necessary if I can lose weight though. It's going ok with South Beach so far! How much do you want to lose?

I've just started taking Inositol, which is supposed to help with weight loss in PCOS, as well as improving egg quality. I only started today, so a bit early to see any effects though! Are you taking any supplements or medications?

Hello sorry i am only just replying i have only just got a chance to log onto my pc.

I am aiming to loose at least 3 stone the thing is i have never been super thin and so i know i don't want to or feel i will get there any way. I am 5ft 7'' and have a broad build which i hate but hey it what i was born with lol, thing is though is that i probably wouldn't look right at my supposed ideal weight with my build and i don't believe in it anyway as i think it should be set more personally as i am the same height, clothes size and look like same weight as a girl i work with yet she is 3.5 st lighter and is actually naturally got a slimmer frame so
we will both look different at the expected ideal weight the docs say.

Iam taking womens multi vitamins which have a variety of vits that are supposed to also help pco's i.e evening primrose Vit B & D, folic acid and omega oils so i am hoping that helps some how. I was late on my af by over a week this month then just when i thought i was in with a chance, i came on!! Gutted.

Thanks for your reply and i look forward to more x
