can you still loose weight during refeed and beyond?

Determined and motivated!
hi guys, i need to refeed start of may for various reasons, but with 2 and a half stone still to go, i won't be at target weight. Is it possible to continue to loose weight during and after refeed?? Also, is there any maintainers on this forum who have kept all their weight off and can share tips? I'm just worried this may be a flash in the pan weight loss... All advice welcomed and appreciated x x

Yes you can I have read posts from people who have still lost 2-3lbs. I need to do a refeed too and still have 2 and a bit stone to go. I really don't want to but then I really do at the same time!! Ha women!

As long as you follow a sensible healthy diet, you will still lose. Or you could even try 1 or 2 shakes a day and a healthy evening meal.

Have a look at the maintenance forum for some helpful tips and ideas for menu's.

Good luck.

Hi
Any temporary diet only offers the opportunity to start afresh. If you go back to eating as you did before you will put weight on. Where Lipotrim is (IMHO) better than others is that it gives you a complete break from having to think about food, so you can re-educate your palate and get rid of your cravings. I'm not sure that you have been on it long enough for it to have had that effect, but as Mary says if you stick to a sensible diet you'll be fine. Have you been thinking about how you'll approach food after refeed? It's a good idea to keep going with 1 (or 2) meal replacements a day (either LT or Cambridge Diet if you fancy variety) to make sure you keep getting proper nutrients, and to control the sugar rushes "real" food might give you.

Good luck with it Monkey

Hi guys,

All your advice is so appreciated. I get myself all worked up at teh prospect of refeed because i previously did LL and lost 10 stone. Unfortunately my bad habits returned so quickly that a year on I had gained 5 stone. I am planning to really really concentrate on managing my food intake, portion sizes, and most importantly the choices I make.
My 1st wedding anniversary is one week into refeed, in the past that would have been great excuse for a blow-out, but my husband and i have decided we would rather manage our weight loss sensibly and i will be cooking a suggestion from the refeed sheets!!

Jon, because i did LL for 7 months I did manage to re-educate my palate, i did choose a more variety of food, but my portion control went to pot!!! I am ready and willing to try new foods, and can not wait to get back into the kitchen (i'm a take-away-aholic)!!

Thanks so much for the help and advice, and all you guys are inspirational

Hi
I refed 8 weeks ago and have managed to still lose weight every week via slimming world and exercise. I never cheat eating wise and save all my sins to have a drink on the weekend. You don't need to put weight back on unless you slip back into old habits. healthy eating and exercise will allow you to maintain and maybe lose more. The feeling of going into a shop and picking up a size 10 is far better than eating crap and then feeling guilty imho. Hope this helps and good luck

Do you attend classes or manage the slimming world idea yourself?
Do you find Red or Green days more appealing after this diet?
I was going to just try and maintain with a low-fat, low-carb style of eating, but i'm wondering whether it would be best to do a normal diet class, at least until i get teh remainder of my weight off!

Hi
I go to classes, i just weigh then leave, gives me motivation as i need someone weighing me! its not just red and green anymore, there's a plan called extra easy, you mix red and green together so meat, veg and carbs can be eaten on the same day and believe me it is extra easy!! Hope this helps
