im starting to get bored

metrognome

is getting better at it
the rot is setting in now and i dont know what to do i just keep craving sweet things all the time which i never usually do

How about looking through some mags, or the recipes here or on the RC site for a few ideas, think its when we get bored of eating the same old meals when we start to fel like that.
Another ideas may be to have a look at other peoples food diarys on here to see if that gives you a few different ideas maybe?
If you get really desperate, go and brush your teeth!
Hang on in there, hopefully it will pass in a day or two(could it be time of month related maybe?)

hi, good idea about the food diarys, i dont think its totm related all i seem to do is want cake and im not really a cake person, i think i will have to find some low fat sweet treats

Hi you have done so well better than me anyway lol im thinking of coming back to R.C soon.!!

yep have a hunt see what treats you can have x

I can never stay still on one diet always swapping around im on cambridge diet bored fed up since last week.

5 lbs to loose and it won't come off at all been a month now so R.C 1200 kcal is what i may do again.

If you're craving sweet foods then rather than sit and punish yourself, allow yourself a little. I'm not sure where you are in the diet but after the first 2 weeks you've got your 100 cal high fat treat. That's about 4 small squares of Green & Blacks milk chocolate, possibly more of the dark (if you like dark chocolate!).

Alternatively you could go the low fat route - get a piece of sweet fruit such as pineapple, or maybe make a sweet drink using sweetners. I used to make myself a milky coffee and add in a couple of sweetex. Carte d'or do a less than 5% fat vanilla icecream. It's very nice and creamy too, a great item to keep in the freezer.

The diet is designed so that it doesn't restrict you 100% and leave you craving foods, just allow yourself a treat and then you'll probably not worry about it. It's when you tell yourself you can't have something that you then crave it :)

hi,
im normally a savoury person and crave the pasties and things so i cant understand why the sweet change all of a sudden, im afraid just a little choccie or a little cake is no good for me as i will want it all and wont be satisfied until its all gone thats why i dont have such things in the house
thanks

If you want chocolate then another option is to buy a small sub 100 cal chocolate bar so that you can eat it all in one go (or share with your OH / kids / a friend etc). G&B do mini bars, you could probably have half today and half tmw.

Trust me, I know it's not easy. If I know there is a bar of chocolate in the house, cake etc. it'll get eaten, however now I just tell myself that if I eat it now I won't get to have any tomorrow.

Alternatively if you just don't want to go down that route then go for the sweet fruit or a sweetened drink. You've got the craving, just feed it a little and then wait half an hour and it'll probably go :)

asda chocolate mousse there low fat and really sweet, i had the same problem last week if my body cant have fat it wasnt calories, there not too bad on them either just a quick fix XXX hope this helps.

Oh, I know how you feel! ;)

I have a MEGA sweet tooth so I find the following things help me:

  • A meringue topped with a WW desserts yoghurt (think it's about 55 cals for meringue and 70 cals for the yoghurt)
  • A Count on Us Lemon Mousse (70 cals - totally delish!)
  • A pink and white biccie - 50 cas each - my saviour!
I also find by setting myself times to snack it gives me something to look forward to and regulates my blood sugars so I crave less

Hope this helps in some way?

Take care

hi your doing so well hang in there I ve had alaspe with easter but have got back there with choc my weakness gave choc away been some great suggestions here we all get bored at times& lose our ways Ive done ww&sw 2 finding this easier 2

All the suggestions are good ones, if you can't trust yourself to only have the correct portion (like I couldn't) only buy a bar that has less than 100 cals. There are suggestions in last months RC mag i.e. 1 Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramel Bunny is 100cals, 1xfunsized bag of maltesers = 98cals

or buy a normal size bag and share them with the kids or OH.

Whatever you do, don't give up. If you really think you're going to succumb go and clean your teeth cos you usually don't want to eat anything then.

BTW as a point of note, I read a couple of years ago that if you swap diets they don't work, even if they would normally. The advice I read was to leave 4MONTHS between diets!!!

thanks all, i had some nice fresh pineapple yesterday when the sweet craving kicked in, i dont really want to go down the buying sweet things as i cant trust myself yet i think this all started when i had a piece of birthday cake for my birthday and it has just gone on from there and it has to stop
